Film che trova sia forza che debolezza nello sport che rappresenta. Molto accurato ed interessante è l'esercizio storico che racconta lo sviluppo e la regolamentazione delle MMA negli Usa; con quegli atleti che sono stati precursori e che hanno visto tutto cambiare in pochi anni. Allo stesso tempo, le sequenze di allenamenti a terra sono molto reali e ben fatte; ricreano buone sensazioni. Invece, come si entra sul ring; tutto si sgretola con dei combattimenti al limite del ridicolo per quanto sono male assortiti e costruiti. Anche i personaggi non sono originali.
