Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- KevinRaymentWelwyn, UK940 contributionsVisited for the annual drama festival. After years of trying, I finally won the Waitrose bubbly competition at the end of the festival by correctly identified the acts that the professional adjudicator put in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place! If you've never attended, I highly recommend it. It starts on the Monday and runs to the Saturday with 2-3 acts each night, so if a particular play is not your thing, another is along shortly that you may prefer. They announced the 2024 dates of 20-25 May at the end of the festival which is great as I had to miss one year due to a diary clash after the dates being announced quite late.Written 29 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - therichastillStevenage, UK2,921 contributionsEbenezer Howard was the man responsible for Letchworth and Welwyn Garden Cities.
He believed people should have a nice place to live with nice areas and open spaces.
It is appropriate that there is a statue to him in Welwyn Garden City in Howardsgate. He is holding a spade signifying his drive to get stuck in.
Good job Mr Howard!Written 16 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Looking for places to go as I'm sure IKEA in Milton Keynes will get pissy if we try to tell them that's where skating should be done, roller City looked a good bet.
Facility looks good, clean, can buy food n drink, lockers cheap and big enough.
So as a place to skate, the surface is OK, it's wood, fast, bit wonky in places to keep it interesting, but! smaller than the pictures online make it look. Think of it as a circle rather than an oval.
The way its run is full of rules, be aware. Its marshal led, not DJ, which has ups and down, so be prepared to be told off for taking a picture of your kids, (even if it's just you, your kid and the marshal on the rink) but at the same time if someone falls over, they're helped up really quick and the surface is kept litter free.
No DJ means no direction changes (so of course I've got blisters on one ankle and one leg hurts more) , no games, no real change in music, 2 hours seemed very long with no variety and I wore out my outside leg so much I fell as I got tired and caught my own wheels, leg still hurts. I'm not a faller, glad my kids didn't see.
5/10 would come again, but not soon.
Tip for the future? Variety! Get a DJ.Written 27 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The staff, especially in the pro shop were very welcoming and helpful..
BUT... I must mention the superb half-way house. The couple running it were most hospitable and the food was absolutely excellent and most reasonably priced. The stop after 9 holes was well worth while!Written 31 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
