Clamart is a commune in the southwestern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 8.7 kilometers from the center of Paris. The city is divided into two parts, separated by a forest and they are, bas Clamart, the historical centre, the petit Clamart, with urbanization developed in the 1960s replacing pea fields.
 
The canton of Clamart includes only a part of the commune. The other part of the canton belongs to the commune of Le Plessis-Robinson. Fontenay-aux-Roses is the nearest place of clamart. Ttransport Clamart is served by Clamart station on the Transilien Paris  Montparnasse suburban rail line. Population of the city at the 1999 census was 48572.
