Israel conducted a fearless raid of two Hamas buildings in Gaza to rescue four hostages kidnapped by terrorists on October 7 - extracting them via helicopter whilst taking fire from militants. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed Noa Argamani (left), 26, Almog Meir Jan, 21, Andrey Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 40, were rescued following the daring operation, the largest of its kind since the war with Hamas began, earlier today. IDF operatives were able to secure her and her three fellow festival attendees in what military chiefs branded a 'complex daytime operation' at 11am (8am GMT). Aerial footage released by the IDF showed a group of around 11 people running along the ground in Gaza and into the awaiting helicopter to escape (bottom right). It later released footage (centre) showing Argamani, in a flak jacket and helmet, being rushed into a helicopter before it takes to the sky. But the mission left one officer, father-of-two Arnon Zmora, 36, dead - 'mortally wounded' during the firefight with Hamas terrorists.
EXCLUSIVEConservatives face election wipeout with Labour set to gain a 416 majority that could see Rishi Sunak LOSING his seat and the Tories being left with just 39 MPs, shock Mail on Sunday poll reveals
Labour is heading for a majority of 416 in an election result which would prove cataclysmic for the Tory Party, according to a new Mail on Sunday poll. The Deltapoll survey gives Sir Keir Starmer's party a 25-point lead, which would reduce the Conservatives to a Liberal Democrat-sized rump of 37 seats. Even Prime Minister Rishi Sunak would lose his Yorkshire seat, despite defending a majority of more than 27,000.

BRYONY GORDON: Taylor Alison Swift has done the impossible in this deeply polarised age and united the generations - from Gen Z to Millennials and Boomers - in sparklingly spectacular glory. It is the best night of our lives…
As Taylor Swift blooms from within the petals of a giant flower into the middle of the stage at Murrayfield Stadium, it is difficult to know who is more excited: my 11-year-old daughter, by now covered head to toe in the very expensive Eras Tour merchandise we just queued an hour and a half for, or me, her 40-something mother covered in HRT patches. Like around 95 per cent of the record-breaking audience, we are both covered in sequins. Indeed, it is unlikely that the home of Scottish rugby has ever seen anything quite like this before - 73,000 people, predominantly female, dressed in a variety of outfits so fabulous they make a Pride parade look understated. As the sun pokes out from behind the clouds, the wind-whipped audience are transformed into human glitter balls, their clothes reflecting light off one another, a special effect almost as spectacular as the fireworks that will close the show, an epic three and a half hours later.

We will not lose hope.'
The moment the world feared would never happen: Freed Hamas hostage Noa, 26, embraces her father after eight months of hell before enjoying a Coca Cola and call from Netanyahu… but now all she wants is to be reunited with her dying mother
Noa, who was dramatically taken hostage by Hamas on the back of a motorcycle on October 7, was among four hostages rescued in a dramatic firefight with IDF forces earlier today. Emotional scenes showed Noa, 26, reunited with her father on his birthday - the first time in more than half a year that they had seen each other since her capture from the Supernova Music Festival. Video showed Noa reintegrating back into civilian life, pictured hugging her father and sharing a Coca Cola - and calling with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to express her relief. Noa will now hope to be able to see her mother, Liora Argamani, who has repeatedly shared her prayers to see her daughter again since her diagnosis with stage 4 cancer. The operation to rescue Noa was the largest and most successful of the war so far. Almog Meir Jan, 21, Andrey Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 40, were also recovered in a daytime operation in two separate locations in the heart of Nuseirat.

Jason 'Woody' Woodcock, the organiser of the Dave Day ride from London to Barrow said there could have been up to 30,000 riders involved in the last leg. He said: 'Everybody said it couldn't be done. I promised to put a few bikes together for Dave and thanks to the bike community and the people of Barrow we have done it. It is amazing what can be done when people come together. The politicians should take note.'

The villagers terrorised by Harry charity's rampaging elephants: The conservation group, which has the prince on its board, says relocating the creatures is vital - but a damning report claims African families are paying the price
The young African mother's last moments must have been terrifying. With her tiny daughter Beatrice tied in a shawl on her back, Masiya Banda was chased across a field by a rampaging elephant which then trampled her to death, tossing the child like a rag doll on to the sun-baked ground. The charging beast had arrived at Masiya's Malawi farm in a herd from a nearby national park where 263 elephants were sent to live less than a year earlier. Playing a key role in the relocation were two charities, International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), which helped finance the move, and African Parks which helped execute it and where Prince Harry is on the board of directors and is a former president. Masiya's distraught father, 55-year-old Ngoma Banda, blames both the organisations for her death near the park last June.
EXCLUSIVEAppleby Horse Fair customers snap up knock-off Chanel bags for £45 and fake Louis Vuitton tops for £30 as stalls flog 'designer goods' despite presence of police
MailOnline discovered eight stalls selling suspected knock off goods including designer handbags, sunglasses and clothing. The stalls all appeared to be doing a roaring trade as customers snapped up goods being sold for a fraction of the retail price of genuine designer items. The market is a central feature of the historic annual horse fair which attracts over 40,000 visitors including 30,000 travellers, and effectively takes over the market-town of Appleby-in-Westmorland, Cumbria. The vast majority of the stalls in a huge field on the outskirts of the town are legitimate, selling everything from household goods and caged birds to horse riding accessories and childrens' toys.

Kate Middleton has apologised for missing out on a key rehearsal for Trooping The Colour. The Princess of Wales has written a letter to the Irish Guards, who are presenting their colours to the King this year, saying: 'I hope I am able to represent you all very soon'. Were the crew of the Challenger ALIVE for the two-and-a-half minutes it took for the cabin to plunge into the ocean? The explosion appalled the word, now a new book poses haunting question...
The supervisor of the Nasa support team seeing the crew into the Challenger space shuttle on the launch pad at Cape Canaveral had a very special present for one of the seven - a red apple for the most famous teacher in the world. Bubbly, auburn-haired, girl-next-door Christa McAuliffe, a smiley social studies teacher from Concord, New Hampshire , had been selected from some 11,000 applicants to be the first civilian in space - a stunt intended to revive flagging public interest in space exploration by making it seem accessible to ordinary people. The plan was for her to teach two 20-minute lessons from the shuttle, transmitted live to Earth from orbit. One, titled The Ultimate Field Trip, would conclude with a five-minute Q&A with her class back in Concord. She would also conduct six science demonstrations recorded on video and distributed by Nasa to an audience of 18.5 million U.S. schoolchildren. As a public relations exercise, the Teacher In Space Project was already a massive hit. Some 800 journalists - twice as many as usual - had signed up to be at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida for the launch. The world was watching, just as excited as Christa at this new giant step for mankind.
Life as a recluse, her mother's suicide and a traumatic relationship with her own stalker: As ABBA's Agnetha Faltskog returns to public eye to receive Swedish knighthood, how the pop superstar's life spiralled after Eurovision fame
Life in the limelight for global superstar and pop princess Agnetha Faltskog was not all glittering stages and trendy dance numbers. The ABBA singer, 74, rose to international stardom after the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest alongside her bandmates Benny Andersson, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and her then-husband Björn Ulvaeus. As the youngest member of one of the best-selling music acts in history, the blonde bombshell won hearts with her catchy tunes and girly on-stage get-up, before it all came crashing down. The Swedish popstar traded sparkly go-go boots for wellies when she fled the spotlight to live as a recluse on a farm, and was thrown into a pit of depression when her mother took her life in 1994 and her father died just a year later. And in the midst of it all, Faltskog became embroiled in a shocking two year affair with her stalker - a man 16 years her junior, before he was thrown behind bars in the early 2000s.
Inside Prince Andrew's palatial Royal Lodge: How it was the beloved retreat of the Queen Mother, a playground for young Princess Elizabeth and the host for Margaret's engagement photos
It has been the home of kings and queens and the playground of a future monarch. Royal Lodge - now in the spotlight amid the alleged refusal of current occupant Prince Andrew (inset bottom, earlier this month) to move out - has stood in its current form since the 19th century. Situated in 98 acres in Windsor Great Park, the property was once known as King's Lodge but its name was changed by the Duke of Cumberland when he became King George IV in 1820. William IV demolished part of Royal Lodge and, for sixty years, senior members of the Royal Household used it mainly as a 'grace-and-favour' home. In 1931, King George V gave permission for his son, Prince Albert, the Duke of York, and his wife to take over the property and they moved in the following year. They used the 30-room Royal Lodge as a private country house, even after they became Duke and King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in 1936. Princess Elizabeth and her sister Margaret spent many happy days playing in the grounds and making use of Y Bwthyn Bach - the miniature thatched cottage that was given to the future Queen by the people of Wales to mark her sixth birthday in 1932.
