    I've got a BB9930 - and have 1 problem that i need to resolve that I can't figure out.

I am on VZW and have the 5GB mobile hotspot service. It will connect once just fine and I can use it without problems, but if I disconnect and then try to connect again later it fails and says "Cannot start mobile hotspot due to a network error". The only way to get it to connect again is to do a reset/battery pull.

Any idea why this is happening? I temporarily "upgraded" to a RAZR MAXX (trying to get grandfathered on the 4G unlimited), but having some real trouble adjusting. If I could fix this problem on my BB, I would go back to it in a heartbeat. The RAZR is a great phone, but just doesn't fit me well.

Which OS are you on? This happens to me every once in a while. Stick with OS .163 or .342. Instead of a battery pull, sometimes just turning off the network connection works as well.

I tried that a few times with no success.

    I'm on 7.1.0.402

.402 is definitely your problem. That is why I downgraded back to .342. Much more stable.

Thanks. I've overall been happy with .402.

I'm very close to ditching the Droid.. if I do I'll wipe and downgrade and give that a shot.

What are your thoughts on .355? I see it is the latest "official" release.

I haven't tried it. It is too close to .342. I read that some users were not impressed by it. But that goes for any OS. .355 didn't get much attention. Browse thru the thread on it and see how you feel about.

.342 seems to have solved the problem (yes, I ditched the Droid... touchscreen keyboards are just evil).

I connected, disconnected, and reconnected without any issue.

Thanks again for the help, I hadn't even thought that the .402 upgrade was related to this.
