Where to begin…. My reservation was for 5pm Dec 16/23 my confirmation code K646 and we walked out by 5:45pm. They put us in B room and there was 6 longgg tables of people with at least 6 per table and they were all together. The 3 of us were at a corner table and at one time they pulled out another small table blocking the entrance because they put 2 cakes on it. I spoke with a “ Manager” in a dark suit that was standing at entrance about it blocking us entering/exiting room for food / bathroom so he came and told them it had to be pushed back against wall. 10 minutes later all of the people and there was well over 30 people blocking the entrance to the room, surrounding the cake table, singing happy birthday and getting cake. They were bumping into my chair their long scarves from dresses at one point were on my shoulder. I couldn’t even back up my chair to get up . I was so closed in and claustrophobic it was horrendous. My spouse went and told another Manager and said we want moved to another room, he said he’d come , but after a few minutes he didn’t so I stood up and said let’s go… I went out and my spouse showed me which person he spoke too and he was behind the bar doing nothing about it. The gentleman had on a white shirt no suit jacket. I said to him I want the check and we’re leaving, he come out from behind bar and we walked over to the room together, he looked and said their celebrating birthdays and getting cake and should clear soon. I said I’m celebrating my birthday too but I’m being pushed upon while I was eating and unable for us to enter and exit room without cutting through the line. You have over 30 people in entrance to get cake and I said it’s unacceptable and unsafe and he LAUGHED!!!!! My spouse said it’s not damn well funny… I said get me my bill … the guy says ohh I’m covering so you don’t have to be mad, and was laughing. I said now I’m leaving because you think it’s so funny and at no point is this funny having over 30 people surrounding you , unable to move nevermind to try and eat, there’s such a thing as personal space. He was still snickering, I said all you had to do was move us to another room/table but instead you’ve done nothing except laugh. He then said that’s just me smiling, I said that’s not a smile!!! I said you have gloves for people to use utensils on the buffet for protection but you think it’s funny to be crowded by people breathing and pushing on you and not able to move ?? He still smerked and said I’m covering your check why be mad?? I said that doesn’t make the situation right, we’re not getting our dinner!! We only got to eat salad and just when my son, spouse and self returned with plate of food we couldn’t eat because they all lined up behind us and some kids in the line yelling and adults surrounded us pushing / bumping into my chair. It was definitely against the fire codes last night. I guess since you had over 30 people paying a higher bill then our 3 person bill it gave them more rights to do whatever they wanted in the restaurant. I’m sure this review will let others know you can bring in your own cakes, take over an empty table and do whatever the heck you want in a room if you have a big enough numbers in your party. It was a memorable birthday for me, that we never got to eat and enjoy our dinner, or get a picture. I won’t recommend this location and won’t return!!!!! Wished I had got his name… but not hard to find out, ask the waitress in room B she was at the bar collecting drinks when this happened and she asked where we were going and I pointed out the guy to her that laughed at us and thinks the entire situation was funny.

Their lunchbuffet is always hot and fresh as long as you get there around 11:30 am. They do keep on top og the items on the buffet though. I love their torpedo shrimp best. Buffet lunch and dinner every day now.

It was expensive as we went on Friday night but we figured with it being busier, the food wouldn’t be sitting for long. It must be sitting for a bit at the back as it was pretty chewy.
We asked for a dessert fork and were told to just use the dinner fork. We said no and asked for a clean fork for dessert and we were told that the dishwashers would be busy and the staff walked away. Considering the expensive cost of dinner, a fork shouldn’t be much to ask.
The waiter was rude and once we had paid, hovered by the table staring at us until we left.

They are now open 7 days a week for their lunch buffet.
Great food and atmosphere. If it isn't here they probably don't make it in Canada. Get there as close to 11:30 am as you can so everything is fresh and hot. I love their torpedo shrimp the best.

I find this place to be best for their lunch buffet when they first open. Everything is fresh and hot and hasn't been picked through. Their torpedo shrimp are my favorite.

Went for their lunch buffet. Place was quite busy which was a good thing because the dishes were continuously being filled. Everything was fresh and hot. I love their torpedo shrimp. Mostly a meatetarian when I go there. Not space for rice and bean sprouts.

Usually this place is one of my favs!!! Ordered take out and one of my favs is egg rolls… ordered 6 of them… well they have completely down sized their egg rolls..half the size as normal! Soooo disappointed and likely won’t order there again since egg rolls are what I want the most! Such a rip off!! $2.00 a piece what a joke!

I came to Mandarin with my family the other day, I was immediately seated and was helped by Amy. She was quick and efficient with our drink orders. We got our food and sat down, Amy made sure to keep coming back and making sure if we needed anything. Her service was beyond the initial need. I barely ever write any reviews but Amy was so good that I could not not write one. Amazing Service and Great food! Highly Recommend Amy and Mandarin to anyone

We ordered our regular torpedo shrimp, Chinese Veggies, Lemon Chicken, Sweet& Sour Pork and Spring Rolls.
Everything was hot, cooked to perfection and delicious.
Had it delivered and received a discount.
The restaurant is open for dine in now. Will probably try that next time.

I decided to get some lunch while traveling on the 401 and stopped at the Mandarin on King in Kitchener. The person at the front was pleasant and helpful. I ordered egg rolls, a combination plate, shrimp fried rice and honey garlic wings. The egg rolls were adequate, the combination plate received good feedback from my colleague, the shrimp fried rice was ok, however the wings were old, burnt, the garlic in the sauce was burnt and therefore affected my entire taste experience. Not what one would expect as restaurant's are trying to gain back customers. We ended up throwing the wings in the garbage, where i suspect they should have been initially.

Went for another round of Mandarin cuisine. Had it delivered. They have the best sweet and sour pork bar none and their torpedo shrimp are to die for. They have great spring Roos as well and their mixed veggies and colourful and delicious

We decided to try having our order delivered this time.
The food itself was over the top good and hot and crispy. They were running some 2 for 1 specials so we pick those out as well as torpedo shrimp and Chinese vegetables.
The spring rolls were great and the hot and sour soup was just that.
The delivery was on time and we were notified when it was dropped off at our door.
Will do it again for sure.

I ordered $172 in food..what a mess..the rice was soggy, chicken veg and almonds were terrible..the only veg in it was red, green, and orange peppers with a few onions. The sauces on the beef and broccoli and the chicken and almonds were like water with no taste..I have had issues with this place before but my grandkids like their shanghai noodles and begged me to order from there..well..never again..nasty food
