Loved it! We went on Easter and it wasn't busy and we didn't have to wait for a table. We had pretzel and cheese curd appetizers and both were great! Hubby had ghost burger. He said it was a bit too gourmet for him and next time he wants to build his own. I had the dirty without chipotle and loved it. Garlic fries were yummy. Mac and cheese was good but next time I will skip that and save room for a shake.

We finally made it here!! The burgers are amazing!! They have this amazing crisp on the edges to them! We ordered dessert which was fun to look at but I only managed two tiny bites, so full from dinner! We will be back!!

Excellent burgers, your sure to find one to your liking. Save room for desert, shakes are more than worth it. Great beer selection as well.

Finally I was able to try this burger bar out and I was very pleased with the food and the service. The workers are all so nice and check up on you if everything is okay. The only downside I had with this place was the wait of getting our food. Definitely come here when your semi hungry. This place is a must try.

Fantastic. We drive over an hour to try this place based on two recommendations. So worth it. Service was exceptional. Shake was over the top, literally! The burger was delicious. They didn't have to tell me that they hand grind their burgers. The first bite was mouth watering. And, don't miss the butter garlic fries. Great decor too.

Are you a sinner? Are you a saint? Want a burger with no complaint? Then go on a crusade. Find your destiny.
Here be burgers and shakes. Flavors so real, they far from fake.
Behold! Crusade Burger Bar!
This place has among the best burgers I've ever tasted. Easily in the top 10, maybe top 5. What sets this place apart from other locations I've visited are there burger varieties. Their chefs prepare unique burgers and seem to change out their menus on a regular basis and offer a monthly special burger. This alone is reason enough to keep coming back.
I had the Reanimated Sacrifice. A very interesting, spicy burger with a Korean pork belly on top. I enjoyed it. Though I wanted a different burger. Sadly they were out of ingredients for what I wanted. Hopefully this isn't a consistent issue. Otherwise I was happy.
I also tried their cheese curds - probably among the best curds I've ever had. Be sure to try these.
The side order of fries were good too! I got mine with garlic butter.
And finally - the shakes. Dear sweet Lord - the shakes. These are a tower of decadence. A monument to sugar. You will have difficulty choosing what you want. But you will be happy...and potentially in a sugar coma. I had the 'Burden of Sin' - a cookie dough shake topped with a brownie, cookie dough balls and and ice cream sandwich.
I highly recommend just buying one and sharing.
Overall an amazing visit. The staff were also very friendly and tended to our needs. My only gripe is the place is a bit pricey. But you get your money's worth. I also wish it wasn't so far away. They need to move closer to Chicago!

If you want a good burger I highly recommend this place. We started with the cheese curds which were really good. Then we all had burgers which were delicious. The pulled pork burger was really good but so were the basic options. I would skip the fires and get the chipotle mashed potatoes which were out of this world. Finally the Dreamscape shake was delicious. The service was also great! Cindy was our waitress and she was very friendly and efficient.

Absolutely amazing! For once, a joint lives up to the hype!
We had the Cheese Curds, my wife ordered the You're The One For Me, Fatty!, I ordered Threshold of Existence, & we had the Wilderness Walk shake!
The Bacon Jam was worth the trip! - Lindsey D.Chicago, IL4871010/11/2020
Chose this place on a lark, didn't realize how great it would be.
The food was fantastic and it's extremely refreshing (coming from the city) to experience a somewhat 'edgier' staff that wasn't accompanied by a shitty attitude. Everyone was warm and personable. I don't know what it is about servers having a piercings and tattoos that makes them think they should be dicks to the customers.
Everyone was great, especially Becca our server. Good atmo, nice beer list, and great food. Our party got the 'you're the one for me, fatty." And "phony tough" and a build-your-own burger. Everyone was very happy and the fries were AMAZING.
Only criticism would be that two of us got onion straws and we both agreed they weren't fried enough. A little too pale and underdone.
We were glad to be able to sit inside after originally planning to sit outside the tent has a very '"last day of a church retreat" vibe to it.
