FOLQ is a 100% volunteer organization and is always looking for new people who would be interested in supporting clean up, conservation, and beautification efforts around the lake. Consider some of the ways you might lend a hand at Lake Quannapowitt! Most of our volunteer options are family-friendly.
Friends of Lake Quannapowitt was joined by 16 volunteers from Weston & Sampson to help clean up the Gertrude Spaulding Park lakeshore and remove invasive species.
Initiated in 2006, Bricks by the Lake is a program that raises funds for improvements in lakeside parklands while also enabling personal memorials on engraved bricks located. This wonderful program allows the public to purchase an engraved brick to be installed around the flagpole at Col. Connelly Park.
FOLQ Membership is what drives the organization. Your membership provides financial support for our organization, keeps you informed of our activities, invites you to our annual events, and helps secures its future. And individual donations from private individuals, civic groups, corporations, and foundations are vitally important to helping to renew, care, and advocate for the Lake and its surrounding valuable public green spaces.
