The Board of Trustees is responsible for overseeing a thriving and progressive educational system that serves 128,070 students in 213 schools in the York Region District School. Board priorities are reflected in the Trustees' Multi-Year Plan, Director's Action Plan, Board Strategies and the Mission, Vision and Values statements.

In order to make decisions in the best interest of student learning, achievement and well-being, trustees spend a considerable amount of time serving on Board, Advisory and Board Committees. In addition to the regular monthly Board meeting, all trustees are members of the Supervised Alternative Learning Appeal Committee. Trustees must also serve on at least three other Committees of the Board.

The Board has three Standing Committees. Policy and By-Law, Finance and Property Management and Learning, Equity and Well-Being.

Public electronic webinar instructions and connection information is available on each public agenda.
