The best parts of my experience here would the community at the school. There have been hard times and good but when needed we can all come together for each other. I think the worst part of my experience would just be the attitude of some teachers. Instead, of making the classroom feel safe and that you can openly ask questions. It instead feels like your going to get in trouble and no classroom should feel like that. I would want the dynamic of teachers to students changed especially in upperclassmen. Some teachers treat us like we are little kids but at some point we want to be treated our age.

I have had a great experience at HCPS from kindergarten to now ( senior year). The staff has for the most part been welcoming and friendly in every school in the county. HCPS also has programs for High School called magnet programs where students apply and get into a program of interest at different schools around the county. I chose to apply to the sports medicine and exercise science program at one of the high schools and it was the best experience and I am so lucky that HCPS offered this. There are some areas where I would like to see change at HCPS and those areas are mainly in the High Schools. There is a dual enrollment program where the HCPS schools push seniors to take their classes at the community college so they don't have to go in to school their senior year. Where this has its positives I would have liked to at least be required to take one class at HCPS my senior year because I feel like I didn't get to fully experience it. Overall HCPS is an amazing place to learn.
