Jordan Hoffman Times of Israel These are movies about gorillas who ride horses that feel, at first blush, like kiddie fare. And yet, once you take the step to suspend your disbelief, this is one of the sharpest franchises about the human condition. Sep 26, 2017 Full Review Tara Brady Irish Times These are characters. They are also animals, and when they are slain, there's a ghastly novelty to it, one that has long ago worn off the spectacle of dying humans Rated: 4/5 Aug 11, 2017 Full Review K. Austin Collins The Ringer War for the Planet of the Apes is a basic allegory that flirts, dangerously, with becoming an outright social issue drama. Aug 9, 2017 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed A great finale to the journey of Caesar, setting up what’s been a pretty flawless series of movies... May 12, 2024 Full Review Brian T. Gorptholemew T 🍅 10/10 We need rockstar to make this into a video game I swear to God please. This is my favorite planet of the apes movie and actually one of my favorite movies of all time it’s brutal, there’s massive steaks and it doesn’t skip on the harsh reality even with it being rated PG-13. Woody Harrelson‘s character is hateable, but also understandable, even though he’s an awful person you can see what his motivations are as much as he tries he cant escape evolution. Everything feels thoroughly developed and the world just filled with dread, but they take enough time to show you some of the light in all of the darkness. Grade A+ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/06/24 Full Review MATTHEW H It’s okay better than the first of the series, but never lives up to the seconds expectations that has been set out for it. It’s a little campy and has some tone problems within the film, it does go a bit long and some characters are not necessarily the most engaging nor intriguing. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/05/24 Full Review Charlie M The trilogy was already good, but this is the one that really proved it had something special to deliver beyond what several CGI filled blockbuster franchises try for. For it’s wacky premise, it’s really as good as it could have been or has any right to be. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/27/24 Full Review Chris H A moving close out to Cesar’s story. Dark and sobering. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/27/24 Full Review KerryWhite's S Rating: 8/10. 85/100 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/26/24 Full Review Jay D Not sure why this one is rated so highly? It's fine I guess, but I found it to be the worst of the three. It's bad enough that I have no desire to see the next one that just released. Nonsensical, character breaking moments are a constant that took me out of this one. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/23/24 Full Review Read all reviews
