Being more or less the third band of Ryan Adams, The Patty Duke Syndrome only ever officially released a split with the band GlamourPuss, from which basically the second half got lost to time. What kind of music did TPDS make? Some good old Country Punk. The two songs by them on here, Texas and History, all come through with some nice attitude, slightly jangly guitars and that good old Country twang put over all of it. It's very good fun, both songs are reasonably well written, performed and catchy, and the super scant runtime makes it also incredibly easy to replay overall. If you are looking for a quick and nice Country Punk fix, you could definitely do way, way worse than this EP. Good stuff. Give History a listen.
