Following Creighton opting out of the Battle 4 Atlantis field this week for the Players Era NIL multi-team event, the committee needed to find a replacement for the Bluejays. Providence is now entering the Battle 4 Atlantis field set for late November, according to Jon Rothstein.

Providence now joins a field of Arizona, Davidson, Gonzaga, Indiana, Louisville, Oklahoma and West Virginia. The Friars are entering their second year with head coach Kim English. Providence finished with a 21-10 record, barely missing out on the NCAA Tournament. PC entered the top 25 for two weeks last season.

The Battle 4 Atlantis event will take place from Nov. 27-29 in the Bahamas. First-round matchups for the 2024 Battle 4 Atlantis will be announced at a later date.

West Virginia was originally supposed to play in the 2020 Battle 4 Atlantis, but the COVID-19 virus prevented the initial tournament from occurring. WVU ended up heading to South Dakota for the Bad Boy Mowers Invitational, which the Mountaineers won.
