Over the years, we have found dining out on New Year’s eve to be a hit or miss proposition. Our dinner last night at East Bay Grille was a definite hit. We dined with two of our friends and all 4 of us found the...dinner to be about the best New Year’s dinner out we could remember. To start, our reservation was honored precisely on time, and we had a wonderful spacious corner table. Our server Lisa Marie came promptly, took our drink order and delivered the drinks right away, while giving us time to peruse the menu. She was exceptional in every way, making sure that each course was well timed to leave a break in between, that we did not feel rushed, and that everything was to our liking. She was fun, professional and simply provided exceptional service. We shared coconut shrimp and oysters Rockefeller for appetizers. Both portions were generous and delicious. The shrimp in particular are about the best I have had anywhere. For mains, two of us had the arctic char and two of us had the lobster casserole. Both were well prepared, and even a light ameretto sauce on the moist, flakey char was full of flavor. The parmesan risotto that accompanied the dish was creamy with perfect texture. The lobster casserole was also quite tasty, with lots of lobster and buttery crumbs. Where many restaurants can be overwhelmed with a full dining room on New Year’s, East Bay did not miss a beat. Even with a diverse menu (many more choices than one typically finds for a New Year’s menu), everything came out hot and perfectly cooked from the kitchen. Finally, in an age where the mark-up on wine has become ridiculous at many restaurants, East Bay offered many bottles and wines by the glass at reasonable prices, and gave a nice pour by the glass. Overall, the experience exceeded our expectations. We dine here several times during the year, but now will certainly return for New Year’s.More

My husband and I just had a wonderful dinner at East Bay Grill. The food was delicious and service was great. My husband had the seasonal Salmon dish and it was amazing. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the butternut squash that came with...his dinner was the best we ever had. I had the seafood Kristopher and it was loaded with huge chunks of lobster, swordfish, scallops and shrimp. The drinks were a little too strong for my taste but you definitely get what you pay for. They have a $60 dinner special for two people which also includes a bottle of wine and dessert. They ran out of the ribeye steak; so we didn’t do the special, but it is a great value for your money. Will definitely be back next time we are in Plymouth, Mass.More

My husband and I had a really nice time with our recent visit to East Bay Grille for lunch. The resturant was in full Massachusetts COVID compliance and that made us very comfortable with choosing this location. We sat outside with a view of the...harbor, nice listening music and a table with an umbrella for shading. Both the food and service was wonderful. Our waiter Sal was very attentive and made sure we had everything that we needed. We are looking forward to going back again soon!More

Five of us family members, four from out-of-state, wanted some good seafood. We decided on this restaurant and even though it was crowded, we were seated right away. All of the food that we got, both seafood and regular American fare, was delivered hot and...in a timely manner. Everything was delicious, however the small lobster roll that I had was a bit pricey at $34.More

when you go as a person or family on vacation you know prices will be up,however I do not like when I know what a great lobster salad sandwich is going for in the area with fries and coleslaw and compare then and no difference...except for the $10.00 up charge on each sandwich that is a bit much. Were they good. yes they were. any different that the other places . Not at all. Now the other food was good, but not great. We have been here a few times before and the food was a lot better. Now the service was great and the staff could not have been better. The location is great which everyone really liked. and the place is very nice and clean and good parking as well. At home I live in a vacation area and I am right near the beaches and great restaurants. I think that owners should eat at their own places and see what is going on so the customers will be happy and return. good for groups but they must adhere to Covid rules with amount of people at a table. A place like this should rate a 5 not as an average 3. It was outstanding at one time. tMore

The food and drinks are pricier compared to others in the area. My boyfriend had enjoyed the seafood risotto so much at Tavern on the Wharf that he ordered this dish again here. What a disappointment! It had less seafood and less creamier and tastier....They also wanted to charge us $8 MORE for it because they said at 3:30 they changed from lunch to dinner prices. I said the menu we were given had prices once on it that they had to honor. So it was changed. The lobster roll that I had was similar to ones I had before but pricier.More

Plymouth is not that far of a ride for us so we find ourselves in town often for lunch or dinner. East Bay Grill is always one of my top picks. The food and drinks have never let me down. We always get the crab...and lobster Rangoons and I love their strawberry fields drink and order it often bc it is so light and refreshing. This past visit I had the lettuce wraps and my husband had the baked scallops. The wraps were very new for me and I really enjoyed them. The scallops also got the nod of approval. We eat out a lot so we rarely order dessert but our waitress told us about an oreo pie dessert. We had to try it and the only word that comes to mind is decadent!!! It is not a pre-made oreo crust, it is a bed of freshly crushed oreo, delicious ice cream pie drizzled with warm sauces and topped with whipped cream. Totally worth it!More

We came here often before Covid and once during . Used to love the steak tips , but today they were dry and tough . They were cooked medium as I requested but I couldn’t choke them down. The wife orders the filet and honestly...it’s much cheaper cuts of meat . Service was excellent food gone down hillMore

We had the Fall Mojitos with our lunch to start our girls weekend- a good choice. We had the clam chowder- delish, the Steak Tips special with truffle fries - which were seasoned perfectly. Also some grilled grouper. The portions were large. Nice atmosphere and...the location was perfect, across from the Plymouth 1620 hotel.More

On lazy Summer Friday Fun Day and way back from the Cape decided to stop in at the East Bat Grill, Plymouth, MA for lunch. it is a large shoreline restaurant with generous outside and indoor dining. Parking is offered right in front both valet...and public parking. The menu offers generous choicees, as expectced seafood, meat and vegatarian offerings. Giving the post Covid employee crunch was pleasantly surprised by the vast wait staff to serve your needs. Caesar salad, baked haddock and fish and chips were out choices. Luncheon portions are quite generous. Most luncheon meals were reasonably-priced priced around $20. I would definitely place it on the short list of Plymouth luncheon locales.More

Asked friends for recommendations to stop for lunch on our way back to Boston from Cape Cod. A good friend recommended this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. It was a great find. There were lots of choices on the menu as...well as some lunch specials for the day. Malik, our server, was exceptional: knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, attentive without being overbearing. We couldn't decide between two appetizers, asked Malik's opinion and he recommended the Lobster Rangoons. While we didn't notice lobster in the cream cheese filling, they were tasty and cooked just right. We each ordered cocktails: a pumpkin spice martini and red sangria. Dee-lish! The martini was strong. Lunch was Stuffed Quohogs served with a cup of clam chowder and a Harvest Salad with Teriyaki Steak Tips. The quohogs were a bit dry although they were served with melted butter which took care of that (I had hoped to avoid using the drawn butter.) The chowder was creamy, smoky and had big chunks of potatoes and clams. The salad was perfect; very satisfying and tasty. The steak tips were large and tender. We both wanted to try a dessert but we were simply too full to order one. We saw several being served at other tables and they looked yummy. Prices were reasonable (especially for the cocktails.) We were seated near the windows so we had a lovely view of the water and grounds. As I already mentioned, I won't hesitate to return for another meal. There were lots of other items on the menu that appealed to us.More

We were looking for our first outdoor dining trip this Spring. Given the cool southwest wind, I felt this would offer a good al fresco location. The dining area was well spread out on the back "lawn" (actually high end astroturf as used in Gillette...stadium according to a staff member.) You had to look closely to see that you weren't on a lawn. Lunch was excellent as we ordered baked haddock and baked halibut entrees. Both were perfectly prepared with fresh steamed vegetable.More

Just got in the area and food is a priority! Tried to book thru open table, but nothing available. So we just went and were lucky to be seated. Heather was a great server! Food selection was great. We are all about local fresh seafood...and we found it here with great parings. But first things first! Strawberry Basil Margarita!! Got to have this! Hubby had the sea bass was served with a mushroom risotto and broccolini , but they were gracious to sub the spinach for the broccoli. I chose the every thing seasoned tuna paired with the basmati rice And asparagus! I’ve never seen so much tuna! It was fabulous. Our daughter had the salmon salad. Beautiful greens with goat cheese, pecans and cranberries with a huge piece of salmon. We definitely had to get go boxes!More

Only negative was that the flies were biting. We had the outdoor under-tent seating almost to ourselves when we arrived. It was very pleasant near the water. The portions were generous and the food was good and satisfying. The folks who had lobster were thrilled...with the amount of actual lobster in their rolls and salads.More
