Vettri joins a detective agency and is assigned a series of subjects to observe. He falls in love with Madhusree, one of his targets, and just when everything seems to be going fine, Vettri's subjects start dying mysteriously. Can he save Madhu before it is too late?

The mystery thriller has a well paced narrative with solid twist n turns, and sustains its suspense quite well right through. Though it misses out on the big wow factor, the neat performances, enjoyable music and crisp runtime manage to keep it engaging enough. A good watch.

First half of this is really good.
Second half pretty much abandons all the interesting character-based stuff in favor of procedural plot mechanics and by the time you get to the "big" finish it's all gotten so sterile and heatless it's hard to care much.
Well it is my favourite genre so and it is made really well, with multiple twists and turns so easy 4 stars. The first twist literally gave me goosebumps.
The songs were also amazing, I still listen to them today.
My 16 year old self discovered the love for thrillers with Bhadram. She probably didn't know her older self loves Ashok selvan so much, haha.

just jk, rewatched thegidi the other day and it was so nostalgic. I remember coming back from school a friday afternoon and watching this film w my family (rarely happens).
is the plot predictable and stupid? very much so. did i still enjoy it? yesss, maybe it's the nostalgia and ashok selvan is just so good in this movie

Thegidi is an intense thriller drama that keeps you engaged with the storyline. It all starts when our protagonist Vetri gets a job in a detective agency and given missions. As he undertakes the missions things starts to go sideways and the following incidents turns his life upside down. The movie is fast paced and there are twists and reveals at the right time. If you are a fan of thriller dramas then you should definitely go for it.
