A loving and observant memoir of Eugenie Schumann youngest daughter of Clara and Robert Schumann. Eugenie recounts illuminating incidents in the family and the Schumann circle of friends, like when Johannes Brahms tried to play a practical joke on Clara Schumann. Eugenie also describes the piano lessons she had with Brahms. Worth a read for people interested in classical music and musical excellence.
