Hayward High School has extremely caught my eye when it comes to the family orientation of it. At Hayward High you genuinely build bonds with teachers and the administration there. I feel cared for by the people of Hayward High and the staff there who work hard to ensure that the students feel comfortable and looked after. AT this school you build a family with everyone and traditions are passed down in classrooms. You are surrounded by students who strive to achieve academically and are motivated by the teachers who want you to do the best of your ability. My best experience has to be all the school events ASB introduced. From having a "Coachella" themed night rally to hosting Prom at the Zoo, it all was a fun experience. Not only are the school events well organized but Hayward High builds infinite bonds; some of my teachers used to be students at Hayward High. This school is a place I can look back to and reminisce about with positive feelings.
Overall, my time at Hayward High School since I first stepped foot on campus in August of 2021, has been pretty good. I've never had any serious issues with a teacher or other faculty member and I've never had any serious issues with another student on campus. I have also enjoyed the classrooms themselves and some of the teachers at this school are great.
All of the teachers that i’ve had at hayward high have been so supportive and have created a safe learning environment where I feel comfortable and can focus well in. The only part where I would like to see change is not in the education but the facilities. Currently we have no mirrors in our bathrooms and have really bad wifi all over the school. Also bathrooms seem to not be cleaned/restocked regularly and a lot of bathrooms are locked during the day which is really inconvenient to the students, especially those who have strict teachers. Besides those issues, hayward high is a great school and I am lucky to say that I’m a farmer (our mascot).
