Clever scripting by Robert Stewart (THE SINISTER MAN) highlights this British arson thriller, one of several short features later syndicated in the U.S. as part of the EDGAR WALLACE MYSTERY THEATER package. It’s unlikely Wallace had anything to do with this picture, which casts Alfred Burke (HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS) and Zena Marshall (Miss Taro in DR. NO) as married co-owners of a cosmetics company who run the business into the ground and enlist pyromaniac John Cazebon (THE SNAKE WOMAN) to burn it down for the insurance. Does the plan go off without a hitch? No, it does not!
