This restaurant is in a large central square of Girona near many other dining options. The menu had a good array of typical tapas and seafood dishes. The service was adequate. The quality of the fish and seafood that we had was excellent--super fresh but...the seasoning was relatively bland and presentation basic. There are several regional wines available by the glass or bottle. None are very special but all were very reasonable (most less than 10 Euros a bottle!).More

Large busy restaurant with a nice atmosphere and freindly staff. I had the hake and my friend had croaker fish, both of which were well cooked along with the grilled vegetables. We had creme catalan for dessert which was delicious. Very reasonably priced.More

This restaurant is located right on the main square in Girona. Lots of local food options, wine, and drinks. Enough English was spoken that we managed. We sat outside and enjoyed the mild October evening. If it is high season or a busy weekend evening,...I would advise making a reservation as we did.More

It was recommended to us so we were excited. We made a reservations for Sunday night. We got in by 8:30 pm or so. There was a group of 6 people before us. We were seated and pulled up the menu. Items we wanted were...not available. We were told the table with 6 ppl ordered most of it. What? Anyway, we ordered lamp chops and pork fillet. Lamp chops had no meat on them. The pork fillet was really rubbery. We are and left the place very disappointed.More

Delicious, traditional food in a great atmosphere right in the heart of Plaza de Independencia. If you want to try authentic Catalonian cuisine and not just one of the many tourist focused eateries (hamburgers, pizza, sushi, etc), I fully recommend this place! Great service.More

A lovely selection of foods. Acommodating menus for a range fo different langauges. The food we had overall we couldnt fault it. For my starter I had some boutifarra. It was delicious. Aa foe the main I had hake whixh waa rather nice wasnt the...freshest fish but was still very nice to eat. The staff were also veey friendly and accomodating throughout the night. Personally I think if a place wants to do qr code menus I think they should also offer wifi to look at those menus, which this resturant didnt to my disappointment. Overall enjoyable and would reccommend to visit.More

Having travelled from Paris on the joint SNCF/RENFE TGV train that beats the airlines hands diwn, we were in need of a pleasant mdal. Helped by a lovely waitress in her 40s, this restaurant delivered. The duck was terrific. Mouth watering even though it was...unembellished. The chicken with tiny prawns was fine and the beer cold. Value here witth the bill under €31. Well done.More

Was recommended by our hotel as a traditional restaurant from 1890. Service and food was really good and prices reasonable. We ate outside however the restaurant inside is well decorated. Lovely little wall garden with mini stream in basement. You won’t be disappointed.More

Our group is made up of two retired couples from Vancouver, BC, Canada. We spent three nights in Girona and dined at Casa Marieta the second night. Of course, we had to dine at Casa Marieta again We especially liked the attention we received from...our waiter Ruben, what a pleasant young man! I would suggest the cuttlefish with peas, the sauce is truly delicious. My wife would recommend the shoulder of lamb. The beef steak my friend Vic enjoyed our first night was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. We also enjoyed the coffee and desserts. If we ever return to Girona we will certainly dine at the Casa Marieta againMore

Service was good. Food traditional. Don't let them put extra, unordered dishes on your table, as they sneakily charge you for these. We thought they were just complimentary nibbles but found them added to the larger than expected bill; no-one told us they were extra...and we hardly touched them. I wouldn't go again simply because of this. La Boira is so much better and so is La Riba but this place is okay.More

Veal sirloin with mushroom is one of the best meals I've had. I would also recommend the Duck and Pear meal. Definitely should be in the top 10 restaurants in the city. I would 100% recommend.
