America: The Motion Picture is an animated, satirical take on the founding of the United States, but with a wild and irreverent twist. This adult comedy reimagines historical figures; a chainsaw-wielding George Washington (Channing Tatum), teams up with beer-loving bro Sam Adams, and other American icons like Paul Revere and Geronimo to take down the British in a hyperbolized riff on the American Revolution. The film fuses modern-day humor with historical notes, resulting in an anachronistic and raucous adventure. It pokes fun at national myths and legends while offering a meta-commentary on America's storied past, all delivered with lots of action and crude humor.
