Best part of school is the fact you have tons of information available to the students as long as you ask for information. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable connects you to the the right people. Teachers are always there to give a helping hand to students. Campus is huge. The school is always looking to make it easier for student when it comes to having the proper resources available. The school offer a lot of different ways for students to fit in and be comfortable. Lots of clubs. Ton of ways to be involved in community outreach programs. Tutoring option and college readiness through local program offered by school . One thing that I would like to see more of is meaningful electives i.e. home economics class, drivers Ed, variety of different languages class like French, Russian, Arabic, and Chinese just to name a few. Second thing while it's not necessarily a bad thing but I wish they would have kept campus open for lunch. I understand why they closed it but still it was open .
The best thing about the school is the kids. Sadly, there are a lot of faculty members that aren’t working to actually help the students. Sometimes even disregarding a students needs. However, there are some amazing teachers there who are there to help kids, not just the paycheck. I love the diversity that the students bring and the joy that you can find among them.
Bakersfield High School is an amazing experience and was probably the most welcomed ive ever felt at a school. The sports teams were great but not top end d1 teams like they used to be, but overall was an enjoyable experience.
