Overall, I really enjoyed my time at Skyline High School. I felt that I was pushed to grow stronger academically, socially, and athletically. I was fortunate enough to have amazing teachers, and be apart of an amazing soccer program. One suggestion id have for the school is to create more whole school events, and keep promoting the CUBE. It would be nice to have some more school spirit! Additionally, the CUBE wasn't super active in my underclassmen years, and I never got to utilize it. However, I think its an amazing tool for the younger classes.
Overall, I had a great experience at Skyline. The school helped me find friends who have become family. I found my academic and college passion by discovering cybersecurity. I was able to excel and find my niche in areas and subjects that directly relate to what I would like to pursue in college, and my school made that possible. Skyline is a place that will give as much as a student is willing to take and pursue, which is a tremendous privilege.
Skyline is a great public school in Ann Arbor. Most of the teachers I've had here are very smart, helpful, and kind. They really work hard to make sure students do well and get a good education. One thing I don't love is administration. At the beginning of 2024, a huge budgeting mistake was made, causing schools, teachers, and students throughout the district to suffer. It seems like admin is just a circus who can't do their jobs and waste public money on things like cruises, alcohol, and takeout food.
