Great for the price.
Overall quality is decent aside from the fact that I had to grind down one of the magnets because it was placed inside the piece unevenly and I had to fix a couple of the Felts so it's safe to say that quality control is not completely even along the board no pun intended. Also to take note is that the board is very nice for the price but it is unfinished. I will probably in the near future finish it in lacquer to give it a nice luster and deep shine. I do believe there is some type of finish on it but it is only one layer and it is very thin so if you are someone who plays chest often and once a good-looking board I definitely recommend taking the time to lacquer it yourself and I think that will it will really make the chessboard pop and look really good. The pieces are magnetic just enough to stick to the board but if they are a decent distance from each other they will stick together which is not necessarily a bad thing if you're not trying to lose pieces. I do not recommend holding the board upside down but you can tilt it and move it around without the pieces falling off. Other than that it is a great board for the price and I recommend it to anyone who likes chess and likes to play on the go or goes camping Etc. One other thing about the board is that it does seem decently sturdy but do not treat it as a toy cuz it might break. Other than that it is a great product for the price and I would recommend it to anybody who loves chess.

The chess set is well made and looks good. However, the set I received was faulty. The metal plate at the bottom of the board is misaligned. So, the magnetic pieces cannot stand in the middle of row 4 (see picture). The set is not playable in this condition. I notified Amazon and they gave me a full refund, which is excellent.

It seems such a waste to throw this nice set away, so I tried to fix it. I pulled out the sponge that holds the chess pieces and pried out the petal plate by force. Then I used a box cutter to scrape off the existing glue. After that, I hot glued the plate to the correct position and glued back the sponge. That solved the issue. 👍

I have received the chess set today. Although it does look nice, there is one piece missing (ie. the black Queen is missing for me), and the magnet of one other piece is missing (ie. the magnet of the Black Knight is missing). The fact that the Black Queen is missing makes the set totally unusable for me, and I am not even sure who I should contact to fix this. Very disappointing considering the price!
