  • Perhaps it was serving it in a burgundy glass that made it taste burgundian. Plush, clean (!), refined - not at all what one expects from Musar.

  • Dark red cherries, pomegranate and ripe strawberries. Nice earthy tertiary notes and some dried herbs. Medium (+) bodied with a medium acidity. Very harmonious structure, elegant old world style. Nice long finish with lots of earthy notes. This is in a great spot now but definitely has a lot of great years ahead. (IG)

  • Outstanding Musar vintage. Enjoyed with Lebanese food after being splashed back and forth between bottle and a Bowl at least 5 times, then left for an hour. Wonderfully complex, balanced and very much alive! With that little touch of volatile acidity and phenols that add to the personality of this Wine. Initially with quite some sweetness to it, kept in check by the High acidity. After an hour, the sweetness is gone and the show really starts…

  • Dark garnet in colour. 50mm natural cork enclosure.
Medium intensity on the nose but pronounced on the palate. Dark fruit, raspberry, plum, sweet spice and some jam. Med (fine) tannin, medium acidity, full body and an impressive length. What I’ve not mentioned yet is the balance. It’s excellent. Despite the age, this is still a keeper.

  • Deep garnet red , still looks youthful no brown tinge, on the nose smoky cheeries and raspberries, jammy with a hint of shrapnel , well balanced with full bodied, accompanied lamb bolognaise with GF spaghetti and salad
