Terraço Itália is one of my absolute favorite places to visit in Sao Paulo.
It is located in the Edificio Italia building in the Santa Efigenia section of Sao Paulo. The jazz lounge is actually part of the Italian restaurant with the same name, so it is a little confusing. They are separate places, though their google listing is the same.
The restaurant is below the jazz lounge. The food is so-so, to be honest. The jazz lounge is really the stand out here. It is located one floor above the restaurant.
The views from this place are amazing. The photos of the views don't even do it justice. Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to sundown on a day with fairly good visibility, for the best experience. Getting there before sundown allows you to see the transition from day to night across the city. Watch as the sun sets to the west and the lights of this beautiful and expansive city come up trading the day sky for the night sky. It is breathtaking.
There is a small cover charge and drinks are a bit pricey, but it is worth it in my opinion.
There is nightly live music that completes the classy vibe of this jewel of Sao Paulo.
No visit to Sao Paulo is complete without a visit to Terraço Itália.

We visited Sao Paolo for a couple of days and chose to have dinner here as soon as we'd decided to stay. The views and atmosphere were amazing in both the restaurant and upstairs in the bar. The live piano music of cheesy '80s ballads in the restaurant was great, as was the classier live vocalist upstairs. The food was closer to really nice rather than amazing. However, we enjoyed a wonderful evening and were very happy to have visited.

I just had drinks which were great, I enjoyed the live music and the view was spectacular. I didn't have a seat right next to the window to start with but the staff let us move when one became available. I think this may just be my favourite bar of all time! :)

We went for a very special dinner arranged by my novia.
I wasn't thrilled we were seated as far from the windows as possible, but there are only so many spectacular tables.
The service started well and I will compliment the assistant mesero, he was very efficient and attentive.
The Polenta with mushrooms was great, as was the offering of breads.
The big problem came in the timing between courses. We were there for a special night but after an hour I felt compelled to talk with the manager. If the wait staff had acknowledged the delay in any way it might have helped, but we were totally ignored.
The manager suggested as it was a Saturday night things were backed up, but they are an established business and should be able to adapt. Further about 40% of the restaurant had left by the time our food arrived.
To be fair our food was quite good when it arrived, but given the pricing I would expect no less.
To me, poor or mediocre customer service should not occur in higher end restaurants.
We did have a nice night, but will look elsewhere for our next special occasion.

Top floor restaurant on 43th floor of Edificio Italia in Sao Paulo, has nice atmosphere, good service, fantastic view. Unfortunately the food is just OK. I ordered the Saltinbocca of filet mignon in wine sauce with potato puree. It was just a basic tasting food,

The Terraço Itália is a lovely restaurant. I was there for a party, so we had a fixed menu. The appetizers were good. The desserts were excellent. The Caipirinha was strong but good. The best part was the ambiance, and the view was all-around spectacular. You get a 360-degree view of São Paulo, Brazil, which is breathtaking at night.

Went for dinner with my family, the food id overall ok, the dessert was a disaster though.
Location is excellent while the best thing was the service.
In overall, not the best Italian restuarant that you can go to.

The staff on the bar and restaurant floors have not been trained to inform customers of the lunchtime deals they can receive. This results in customers receiving inflated bills which, in my case, could easily be avoided had we been informed from the beginning. The supervisor at the time named JOAU, was extremely unhelpful in resolving the situation and threatened to call security and the police on me and my party. This attitude is extremely unacceptable and intolerable. If a senior member of staff is unable to resolve a matter amicably they quite frankly do not deserve to be in that role and JOAU certainly fits that bill. Additionally, not all staff can speak English leading to confusion between staff as well as for non-Portuguese speaking customers. Overall, the threat of having security and the police called over a dispute over a bill goes to show the abysmal service. Hopefully the customer service can be improved, by training or removing terrible staff so that the reputation of the restaurant is not further tarnished.

To say this place is bad would be a lie, however the food is neither authentically Italian or good tasting.
The view is spectacular by far the best view in Sao Paulo and that's really what you're paying for.
They have a set menu for 120 Brazilian real which if you're gonna go for anything hen this is the best deal. That said they will add many things on that you didn't ask for.
The mozzarella on the caprasse salad was listed as buffalo but was actually a very tiny cow mozzarella ball cut into 4 slices and applied to a local tomatoe which had almost no flavour.
The veal was chopped up into small pieces and paired with some ingredients which really didn't compliment the flavours.
The gnocchi was mush and had been cooked into The shrimp making a mess of merged ingredients.
We were asked to go upstairs to have our deserts. We were not told that continuing our meal upstairs would cost an exter 35 Brazilian real per person.
The desert however was very Italian and really tasty. We had the tiramisu and pistachio moose which was incredibly rich and creamy with chocolate ice cream on the side that was a good texture smooth and full of chocolate flavour.
I would recommend the deserts and drinks only. Maybe go to the bar for the view and have deserts and drinks for a 35 real fee.
The experience was pleasant with sof music and lighting setting a great atmosphere.
If you don't want to spend a lot of money for inauthentic and average tasting food i'd recommend skipping this place.

Visited here a few years ago. Beautiful place, great food, and nice views of the city. Definitely recommend visiting if you are in the city!

The view was great, cocktails the bartender should learn more how to make and knowledgable to answer the question about it.
I make. A lot cocktail in Uk and the old fashion ,negroni and Manhattan was bit disappoint but I can not say much maybe they do they best . But for the price I would aspect excellent drinks as to pay $35 to go in +$50 for the drinks (£40)is not worthy the experience or place .

Heard from a friend about this rooftop restaurant/bar/ lounge. We already had dinner so we decided to go and checkout this place. We got there and the view was incredible going up to the bar/ lounge. We could hear the live jazz playing. We were lucky to get a table next to the window. The view in this room is absolutely amazing. We ordered a bottle of wine and enjoy it ourselves for a couple hours. We also got lucky A helicopter flew by very close. The staff and the service were great. I would suggest this place for anyone visiting São Paulo.

This is a wonderful fine dining restaurant with the best view od Sao Paulo city. Well located, clean, elegant and well decorated, this restaurant makes you feel like roylaty! The food is delicious, the service is excellent. It is an expensive restaurant but worth the experience

Part of the historical center of São Paulo, República was once a fancy residential area. República Square holds a craft and food fair every weekend, right by the subway entrance. Nearby, one of the neighborhood’s main attractions is the Italian Building, where you can see the city from the 42nd floor. The Copan Building also deserves a close look, with 1,160 apartments and a huge floor area that inspired filmmakers and other artists. To get the feeling of São Paulo in the beginning of the 1900s, visit the Municipal Theatre – you will be amazed by its architecture. The area also features several galleries. República is a great area to explore during daytime, but use caution if visiting alone at night.
