Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Still calm, the other castle was more interesting, but you have to do all in one go to see the beauty.

Grate place to visit, in my opinion more beautiful than Peles castle.
The price is affordable and I didn’t have to wait long to enter.
The guide was good and told us amazing stories about the palace’s history. Also answered all of our questions.

It is a wonderful palace and place to visit. In a way, I like it more than the Peles Castle. The price for one ticket was 30 RON/person.

Amazing gardens, fantastic architecture. One of the many places not to miss while in Sinaia, Romania.

Pelisor castle was built at the very end of the 19th Century as a private residence for the heirs to the throne of Carol I, Ferdinand and Marie and reflects many of the relevant design features of the time. As such, Art Nouveau interior design features heavily in the house and fans of this genre will find the house a delight. The one exception is a dazzling ‘Gold Room’ covered almost completely in 24 carat gold leaf. It is a complete contrast to Peles castle being much more understated (apart from the one exception above) but very refined and equally good.
Although all the explanatory boards are in Romania, English written guides are handed out on entry. It is generally much less crowded than Peles.

Visit it
It is very beautiful and cute place. Visit it first. Peles is absolutely full of things and architectural design. So visiting pelisor firstly for making place for peles majestic view.

A smaller and more modest version of Peles, but still a must see. Here you can see a more intimate and less formal living quarters of a Royal Family. There is less fanfare here. There is artwork of the family throughout place. The admission is separate from Peles and the visiting schedule is also different. Unfortunately this place has the same issues Peles has. Extremely poor organization and maintenance. We also had to share our visit with the cleaning crew here, and although the workers were gracious and polite, one still had to deal with vacuum cleaner’s noise and smell of wood polish.
Again poor management!!

Pelisor Castle is a nice castle/palace to visit for half an hour, but the Peles castle 300 meters further is more worth it if you are short on time. You can visit them both! The castle itself is cute and more quiet, so go for a visit!

Compared to Peles Castle it looks almost a bit plain! Romantic twist that Queen Marie's heart after an interesting journey via Balchik and Bucharest at last ended up here in 2015.

Beautiful castle. We’ve tried to visit for years but the shorter open hours means we often missed getting to see this smaller, cozier version of Peles. Sadly almost none of the rooms have descriptions in English, but all of the rooms are fully decorated, so we enjoyed imagining what it would have been like to live here. Definitely a must see if you are visiting Peles. There’s a pretty steep fee to take pictures inside.

I am confused about how recent visitors were able to enter- I was here a few days ago and it was closed for repair or something which seemed to be longterm. It was a Tuesday. Anyone know what is/was going on?
