- prossman22Sergeant Bluff, IA41 contributionsWe’ve made the trip to Aberdeen and Storybook Land every year for the last 7. Never once have we not had a good, family friendly experience. It is obviously tailored to younger aged children. However, as the kids grow older, the walking/bike trails, bumper boats, mini golf and go-karts are certainly something the kids can grow into. Did I forget the multiple playgrounds and shelters available for picnics or family gatherings.
All in all a very fun place to visit where you can find something for all ages.Written 19 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. On the day I visited, there were special exhibits of needlework and of a local painter. I enjoyed the history lessons and the old telephone equipment but the train information exhibit was my favorite. There is a nice gift shop, as well.Written 29 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Loves Trucks185 contributionsWe stayed with a small group in July. The walking and biking trails are great. Campground staff were friendly. The campgrounds were nice, a little tight for long units. I would like to give 3.5 stars because the showers were miserable. The water is warm, not hot, with very little pressure. Restrooms were clean. Tent sites are about $24.00 per night and the electrical boxes are more than 100 feet from the tent sites in the north campground. RV sites with electric and water are about $40.00 per night.Written 13 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MikeHerb67Aberdeen, SD77 contributionsWe use the fishing docks at Richmond lake all the time. Always catch something. They are well kept and easy to access with close parking. Hot in the afternoon sun, but really nice in the mornings.Written 22 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Darwin WSioux Falls, SD30 contributionsWe had three generations out there racing. There was plenty of room and never a lapse in safety practices. They also got pretty generous with the number of laps when the lines weren't too long.Written 15 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Misti PSan Jose, CA5 contributionsWith that many beers on tap, you are guaranteed to find something you like. I told the bar tender what kind of beers I typically like and he offered a couple samples. They were both great. We happened to come in on a night with a live band and it was great. The energy was high, the bartender was friendly and the beer was wonderful. What more could you ask for?!Written 27 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- FunMomAberdeen, SD4 contributionsLOVE this place!!!! SkateAway is an amazing family friendly place!!! We love it because there's such a wonderful atmosphere, fun games, great music and a friendly staff! In my opinion, it's very budget friendly entertainment...admission and skate rental ends up being about $2.50-$3 an hour! All I know is it's less than paying for a babysitter! AND their birthday party rates are fantastic! Just an all-around awesome place for "kids" of all ages!Written 13 May 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Erin DAberdeen, SD205 contributionsI love all the special classes they offer and also the paint-your-own-pottery where you can come in, pick a piece and your colors and get creative. Staff is always willing to help. We have done wine and canvas classes, children's art camp, story time painting, and of course a pottery painting trip. Next up, board meetings and possibly a birthday party! So much fun and relaxing to come here and express your artistic side.Written 7 September 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
