My only complaint is they didn't reproduce the original gatefold w/die-cut. Otherwise, a great pressing.

Grabbed as one of my “bonus” records, and think it may be one of the best sounding blues records I own. Solid pressing. If you like Blues , buy this.

This is not AAA, as confirmed by VMP themselves.
I emailed VMP to know what sources they used, and they have very kindly answered: “From what we've been able to find in our system, it doesn't appear that Fathers and Sons is AAA.”
But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t sound good and dynamic ofc. And AAA recent pressings have been hard to find (Speakers Corner’s?).

Sometimes I do not understand the ratings given for albums like this.
Bought a copy of it now (August 2022), and this is the first time I got it on vinyl: Apart from beeing an outstanding album and the very, very best of all these "young bluesmen meet the old kings", the sound is absolutely astonishing, perfect, period. I am such lucky to have received two super-clean discs, the mastering of these original '69 German copies is pristine, absolutely perfect, each musician shines on these two vinyls, and you know what to expect when you read the list of contributers. Highly recommended for all folks who love the Blues.

By the way: bought this from records.de, and I have received a near perfect copy for a reasonable price. Thanks a lot!!!
