Disadvantages for high school can be getting too much homework and then stressing about it, having assignments due the next week or day from you being gone for something and stressing out, being bored during class and not having anything to do, etc. but there are advantages to that like focusing during Class Academics and Socialization. Academics-wise, school in America can be hard because it revolves around standard testing, midterms, finale exams, or just plain old quizzes and tests that are more like memorization games than actual intellectual testing. Thongs I would Change is Literally everything. Make more friends, apply myself more, don't be so introverted.
The best part was the teachers, some teachers were dedicated to their job and seeing each student succeed. The worst part was the facilities and overall school culture. The bathrooms were in serious need of renovation, and there didn't seem to be any school pride or anything. In the future, the school should take better care of its public facilities, such as bathrooms and some old classrooms, as well as encourage school culture.
I have been in Laurel high school for only 2 years after I moved after I finished my sophomore year from Howard high which rated the highest in Howard county. Its hard to compare between the academic differences and materials that are provided more in Howard and more resources to make a better student, in Laurel there is a lack of resources and it puts to much pressure on the student to use their own time to look for resources and work to get the money for the materials that are needed for school such as calculators and papers. As a former student at Howard high where everything was provided for me, I am having a hard time keeping with and dealing with the changes that are obvious.
