I love going here because it's online and you can make your own schedule. The minimum amount of time to complete a course is 5 weeks, and the maximum is one year. This makes it so easy to plan around your needs. There are lots of dual enrollment classes that help you get college credits. The website is super easy to navigate and you can see your GPA on it. I've only had one bad experience, but that was with a teacher who was overly critical. I've never had any problems other than that!! 10/10 would reccomend
I definiately made of lot of friends and aquaintences during my years in Highschool at Nebraska, I went to public schools all my life and it was truly an experience, I would say that meals should be free for everyone because we have a lot of students who can't afford lunches, but then again the free and reduced lunch program really helped me and my family out a lot and I don't know what I would have done without them. What I would like to see change is the time for how long lunch is, because in mu opinon (and many other's) 30 mins was just not enough time to get your food find a place to sit and then quickly have to eat in time so that you don't miss your next class so that was very inconvenient for us all. There were a lot of clubs and organizations for students to join which was great because there was something for everyone if they wanted to be apart of something and be involved at school!
The University of Nebraska High School offers a wonderful online learning experience. My only issue was the lack of connection I had to other students and teachers. Other than that, the independent learning I underwent was quite transformative. I developed many skills while studying with UNHS including independence, time management, and organization.
