The gorgeous beauty queen, model and actress Yukta Mookhey, was one of the courageous contestants at the Miss World pageant from all the other past winners of India. The host could not stop admiring how fabulous she looked throughout the evening. The diva held her head up high with just pure excitement and confidence on her face.
Yukta participated at the national pageant of Femina Miss India 1999 and at the coronation ceremony was crowned as Miss India World 1999 (first runner-up) by the outgoing titleholder Annie Thomas and won the opportunity to represent the country at the prestigious Miss World 1999 pageant.
The stunning beauty who performed her best at the international platform was much appreciated and accepted with love by the judges as well as the audience. The beauty queen did not just make the country proud when she was crowned the winner, but when she left a mark of our culture and tradition at the global platform through her award winning answer.
During her question and answer round on being asked what is that one important piece of advice she would like to give her parents as a daughter, and why? She took pride to answer that question and said, “I would tell my parents that in the values that you’ve taught me, I’ll still stand by you no matter what and hope that we can set an example for the rest of the world to see what family values and ethics are all about.”
Post her startling answer she had to win the coveted crown, beating 92 other contestants. Yukta was later crowned by the outgoing title holder Linor Abargil from Israel and also won the Asia & Oceania’s Queen of Beauty Award during the Miss World 1994 contest.
