After a lengthy delay caused by the Hollywood strikes of 2023, the latest update sees a release date for Walker season 4 finally announced. Coming just a month shy of one year since Walker season 3 went off the air, the highly-anticipated fourth season will premiere on April 3rd, 2024.

The WGA strike concluded on September 27th 2023, and the SAG-AFTRA strike concluded on November 9th, 2023.

The plot of Walker season 4 will be picking up after the twist-filled finale of the third season. While there aren’t any specific plot details yet for the next season, the ending of season 3 did leave some clues about what’s next for Jared Padalecki’s Texas Ranger. The Jackal cold case will be important in season 4, but Walker’s cases aren’t the only reason why there’s anticipation for the season 4 story. Cordell’s relationship with Geri will likely finally be explored further, since Odette Annable returned in the finale of the third season.

What’s more, the platonic feelings between Trey and Cassie may be more than they appear, given Trey’s reaction to Cassie potentially leaving. Walker’s attempts to reconnect with his kids will also likely continue to play a significant part in the Walker season 4 plot. Stella is now also possibly a witness to a murder, or at least a missing person case, which will no doubt create plenty of friction between her and her father when the Walker season 4 release date arrives.
