The American space rockers of Monster Magnet have been around for quite a while, but there’s no metal fatigue whatsoever. On the contrary: front man and total rock god Dave Wyndorf seems to be in as great in shape as he was in the nineties, the era of classic albums like “Dopes to Infinity”, “Superjudge” and “Powertrip”.
We don’t have to tell any real fans why you need to see Monster Magnet live on stage at least once. Fronted by Dave Wyndorf, the American band was at the roots of the psychedelic stoner rock genre in the late nineties, together with bands like Masters of Reality, Kyuss, Fu Manchu and Sleep. The source from which Wyndorf has been getting his psychedelic stoner grooves is not empty just yet, as the band has been releasing new quality material that’s easily on par with their classics. Expect a show with recent material, but also songs like ‘Negasonic Teenage Warhead’, ‘Powertrip’, ‘Nod Scene’, ‘God Says No’ and of course ‘Space Lord’!
