this place is fantastic!!! will always come here, it is walking distance to the beach, and the pool is just lovely. On a negative not, it is my opinion the the pool hours should be adjusted to 8am-10pm, this will give persons more time to enjoy the pool :)

Thanks for your review. I'm happy you enjoyed. We have adjusted our pool hours to 8am till 9pm. We considered closing at 10pm, but because the location of the bedrooms are in front the pool, we run the risk of guests bathing and disturbing guests who wish to turn in early.

I arrived there was no one to greet me I walked all over the property I didn't even know which room I was in finally I called the no a sleepy voice answered and told me to come to the security booth no bathroom mats were in the room utensils were nasty bathroom untidy the air condition unit was not working properly so the room was hottttttttttttttt the sheets were thread bare I asked for a change of sheets they said they only change sheets every 3 days it was terrible and totally un romantic people bathing in the pool with all kinds of clothes on I eventually had to leave the very next day I arrived at 12am on the 20th june 2014 and left 11 am 20th june 2014 and they still charged me for 2 nights 900 dollars it was really bad I will never stay there again

My stay at the Rainbow Resort (NOT A RESORT) was not the best. The room was OK, but the bathroom smelled of urine and the shower curtains had mildew at the bottom. Mind u I was told that the maids were just in our room cleaning out. The day before I called the hotel and spoke to a Ms. Rattan, explained to her that my cousin had made the deposit to stay at the hotel but I was unable to fax it, she said it was OK and I should bring my deposit slip at check-in, she also said since we were was arriving early I could pay a fee of just $100.00 extra so we could check in before 2:00pm. I asked for her name so that when we got to the hotel there would be no issue with the early check-In and deposit slip. When we got to the hotel I went the front desk and spoke to a mature lady who…

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I am sorry that it was not a positive review and your stay was not enjoyable. Regards to the service provided to you upon check-in, it is true that we require guests to fax/email a copy of their deposit slip with their reservation information on it as confirmation so that we will know that they did in fact make the deposit. We do not usually accept word of mouth as persons can and say they made their deposit when in fact they didn't. Believe me, this has happened before. Even though you called, your deposit amount was not documented on our records as at that time we had no physical proof until your arrival. I'm not sure if Mrs. Rattan was simply stating such or making an issue about it, but I do apologise if you did feel offended. I cannot really comment on the issue with the security guard as i'm not sure of both sides of the story, but when I questioned the officer on duty that night he informed me that the taxi driver just pulled into the parking lot and parked up. The taxi driver then refused to answer his questions about which guest or which room number he was waiting on and at that point the officer did make the comment to "wait outside if you don't know anything." I have noted and addressed your issues with the relevant staff members and once again I do apologise for the terrible stay you had with us. I hope this has not put you off from visiting Tobago again as it's a beautiful island.

Just spent a week at the Rainbow Resort on Tobago. Reasonable rates. Great pool. Fantastic staff. Very friendly and helpful. Will stay there again. Every time I had a question the staff were spot on. The rooms were clean and well organized. The AC was cold--very nice.

My family and I spent a couple days at Rainbow Resort and we had a great time. The staff was very hospitable and the rooms and grounds were clean and well kept. It is also walking distance from the beach and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Location was great, just walking distance from my favorite beach Swallows which is also known as Milford Bay. It was just right for a simple person like me quite. I was there just before Easter. One was truly impressed. Thanks. I would definitely come again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Rainbow Resort for three nights, and it was great! The room was clean upon check-in and was cleaned every day, towels and bedsheets changed too. Pool was clean, and the rooms had a lovely patio overlooking it. The kitchen had everything that was needed and the bathroom was just right, maybe a bit on the small side, but say what? You can't have everything perfect. All in all, the best thing about the Rainbow is the location: store bay is less than five minutes walk away and there are countless eating places within close walking distance. There is also a car rental on the premises: DON"T visit Tobago without taking a drive around the island (you can do it in a day) or you will miss the best yet. I recently visited Rainbow resort again and my stay here has been wonderful.. front desk staff were exceptional and accommodating for additional stay requested.. all staff are very polite and helpful and unlike what some negative reviews said..it is quite a safe and relaxed getaway...I am looking forward to next year...thanks again!!

Well lets start, this is a very nice place , location is great, ppl a good, friendly and the place itself is wonderful, it's not 5 star, not b,l,d but i love it, did not see any snake as some one said awhile back, the security was friendly, and there is a car rental company on the compound! my review, it is a nice place!

Thank you for your positive feedback. We do try out best to keep unwanted guests away (snakes, cockroaches, lizards etc),by spraying and keeping the grounds clean, but living in the tropics it's a bit difficult. I'm happy you did not encounter any snakes and you enjoyed your stay. It was a pleasure having you stay with us.

A lot of places in tobago are calling themselves "Resort" be very carefull. We stayed at Rainbow resort for four long days, the first night when we checked in there were flying frogs in our room. Open the pantry and you can see roach droppings, during our stay we never got the bathroom cleaned in four days. When you use the towels don't count on them being replace with clean towels, the towel for the floor mat was reused (never cleaned) and we had to spent $200.00 TT to buy new towels because they failed to supply and we could not get a hold of management. I will advise everyone to stay away from this dump you will be very uncomfortable.

It's TT $400 for a one bedroom which has a double and a smaller single bed. There is a kitchen with a full stove and gas, microwave, fridge and kitchen utensils and dishes with lots of cupboards. Toilet and bath and a balcony. Fully ac with built in waldrobe and a safe (just ask at the desk for the key). You have to ask to use the iron though for the duration of your stay.

You will not be happy with the rooms or staff service...and they will try to ripp you off as they did us.. and are still doing.. we will be contacting the police for these bogus charges.. as they have NO right charging me again and again and again for something we never received because they refused to honor our original confirmed reservation."Read full review
