Twentynine Palms High School Reviews

My overall experience with this school has been a little stressful. Normally the counselors will put me in classes I don’t need and I feel they don’t have really good communication skills. Other than that the staff is really nice and helpful at times but sometimes not so much. I think counselors should have meetings with kids and ask what they want to do in the future and should put the kids in classes they do need. I am just barely going to graduate because the counselor waited to tell me I was behind on some credits.
Twentynine Palms High School suffers more as a result of the environment than the fault of the faculty. Most of the administration is pleasant and competent, but the city of Twentynine Palms and the School Board are the real culprits for the school's failure. The city is ridden with crime, and this is reflected in the student body and its behavior. Some of the teachers are capable, but in order for the school to be successful, something first needs to be done to improve the city.
It was ok, there was a lot of fights though. Some great teachers work there though. I overall didn’t think it was too bad but there were definitely flaws. The food is pretty bad and the campus isn’t all that great (nothing ever works) but I think that’s a funding issue.
