Who is Kelly LeBrock?
American actress and former supermodel Kelly LeBrock was born in New York City, USA, on 24 March 1960, making Aries her zodiac sign. She’s appeared in 16 movies only, and is perhaps still known best for starring as Lisa in the 1985 romantic science fiction comedy movie “Weird Science”, which also starred Ilan Mitchell-Smith and Anthony Michael Hall, and was written and directed by John Hughes. It follows two teenage boys who’ve created ‘the perfect woman’ with the use of a computer program – the film was nominated for an Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor (Ilan Mitchell-Smith).
Kelly’s still today active in the film industry, although she hasn’t had roles since 2021.
Education and early life
Kelly was raised in London, England as her French-Canadian father Harold Arthur Le Brock and Irish mother Mary Cecilia Traynor moved there not long after she was born; she had a brother Harold LeBrock Jr. Kelly was named after her late Irish grandmother Mary Helen Kelly.
She studied at a local elementary school in London, and moved to New York City at the age of 14. Kelly went on to attend a local high school there, and was 16 when she launched her career as a model; she matriculated in 1978 and in the following year became one of the most popular models in the USA, after starring in a 24-page “Vogue” magazine spread.
Kelly went on to sign a contract with Christian Dior, and became the modelling agency Eileen Ford’s most sought-after model.
Acting credits
Kelly’s debut film role was playing the lead character Charlotte in the 1984 romantic comedy “The Woman in Red”, which also starred Charles Grodin and Gene Wilder, while Gene also wrote and directed it; the film follows married man Teddy, who’s fallen for the woman in red Charlotte, and it won an Oscar for Best Music, Original Song (Stevie Wonder).
In 1990, Kelly starred as Andy Stewart in the critically acclaimed crime action “Hard to Kill”, which also starred Steven Seagal and was directed by Bruce Malmuth; it follows Detective Mason Storm whose wife’s just been killed, and who’s now seeking revenge. Some of Kelly’s following roles were in 1993 in the crime thriller “Betrayal of the Dove” and the animated family drama “David Copperfield” (voice role), and the 1995 western “Hard Bounty”.
The year 1996 saw her star as Claire Hawkner in the thriller “Tracks of a Killer”, and in 1998, Kelly portrayed Lauren Goodhue in the action thriller comedy “Wrongfully Accused”, which starred Leslie Nielsen and Richard Crenna, and was written and directed by Pat Proft. It follows Ryan Harrison who’s been framed with murder, and now has to catch the real killer – a one-legged, one-armed and one-eyed man; the film was nominated for a Stinkers Bad Movie Award for Most Painfully Unfunny Comedy.
In 2001, Kelly played the main character Morgana in the adventure family fantasy “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”, and the year 2005 saw her play Woman in RV in the romantic comedy “Zerophilia”.
She played Angela’s Mom in the 2006 comedy “Gamers”, which starred Kevin Kirkpatrick and Kevin Sherwood, and was written and directed by Christopher Folino. It follows four best friends as they’re involved in the role-playing game “Demons, Nymphs and Dragons”, and the movie won a 2006 Melbourne Underground Film Festival Award for Best Screenplay. Some of Kelly’s following roles were in the 2007 mystery thriller “Hidden Chambers”, the drama “10 Days in a Madhouse” and the romantic comedy “A Prince for Christmas” both in 2015.
Most recently, in 2021, she played Donna in the popular romantic comedy “Tomorrow’s Today”, which starred Colin Buckingham, Dawson Bowie and Robert Bella, and was directed by Timothy Hines. It follows Tommy G. who’s about to be killed for his gambling debts, and his friend Charlie who’s trying to save him.

Kelly’s been married three times. She wed Moroccan-Franco American nightclub owner, restaurateur and movie producer Victor Drai in 1984 – their divorce was finalized two years later.
Kelly met famous American-Serbian-Russian martial artist and actor Steven Seagal in 1986, and they married on 5 September 1987, after Kelly had given birth to their daughter Annaliza on 20 May 1987. She gave birth to their son Dominic on 21 June 1990, and their daughter Arissa followed on 24 July 1993. Kelly and Steven’s divorce was finalized in 1996, two years after she had filed for divorce; Steven cheated on Kelly with their children’s nanny Arisa Wolf, who gave birth to their daughter Wolf in September 1996.
She married her third husband, American retired investment banker Fred Steck in July 2007, but they divorced in the following year – some sources mistakenly state that they’re still married.
Kelly seems to be unattached as of June 2023, has been married thrice and has three children with her second husband Steven Seagal.
Interesting facts and hobbies
Kelly’s brother Harold died from cancer in 2008, and she thus began devoting her spare time to the terminally ill; she’s today a spokeswoman for Club Carson, which aims to help children suffering from cancer.

She became a pop culture idol after she spoke the line ‘Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful’ in a Pantene shampoo commercial.
