- Mark Hamill has expressed interest in a Marvel Cinematic Universe role. He had hoped to portray Adrian Toomes/Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but the role was given to Michael Keaton instead.[1] James Gunn also said in 2018 that he was planning to discuss a potential role for Hamill in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 due to living near each other in Malibu back then, though Hamill wasn't featured at all in the finished film.[2]
- Upon the release of The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, several Marvel Cinematic Universe fans believed Mark Hamill to have been the performer of Drunk Knowherian.[3] However, Mark's son Nathan confirmed on Twitter that his father hadn't appeared in the television special,[4] with a user named Cynn Smith confirming the following day that the character's actual performer was her friend Troy Beecham.[5]
