Celebrity Britain by Barge: Then & Now

On the Leeds to Liverpool canal, the celebrities visit the model village at Saltaire and a building that was formerly the world's largest textile factory.

Anne Diamond and Pete Waterman pay their respects at a Polish War Memorial. Meanwhile, Bill Oddie hooks up with a kingfisher. They all disappear in the darkness of the Foulridge Tunnel.

The gang cross Scotland from west to east on its oldest canal, the Forth and Clyde. Built in 1790, it changed the course of history for Scotland, becoming a vital artery of trade.

On their second Scottish leg, the gang try the Falkirk wheel, encounter the ghost of an infamous gravedigger and take to the skies atop Scotland's longest aqueduct.

From near Milton Keynes, the gang plot a course to the old canal port of Braunston. After travelling through a notorious tunnel at Weedon Bec, they visit a once-secret arms store.
