Jordan Foster is the youngest of three sisters, born from longtime musician and composer David Foster's second marriage. Though her career speaks for itself, it took some time to find her footing when it came to choosing one.

Jordan Foster is one of six siblings, one of whom was born just over two years ago. She came after her two older sisters, Sara and Erin, and the siblings initially had a strained relationship with their dad, the well-known musician David Foster.

David gave up his first child, Allison Jones Foster, at just 20 years old and focused on building a successful career. He was incredibly committed to honing his craft and basically "lived in his studio," as his second ex-wife, Rebecca Dyer, recalled.

The pattern of absence continued from his first daughter and ended with Rebecca, with whom he had Jordan, Erin, and Sara. Reflecting on how minimal his presence was in their lives, David was regretful, as he expressed:

"I missed a lot because I didn't raise them. The geography was really tough. That was my own doing and a regret that I have, but it was what it was and there was no changing it."

He added that he did the best he could, though admitting that his efforts were sometimes imperfect. However, as his daughters grew older and started their own families, they became more appreciative of their dad's efforts.

Sara, now a mom of two, acknowledged that it was impossible to be a "perfect parent" and understood David worked as hard as he did to provide for her and her sisters. And despite his rare presence, Jordan felt he was "always there" to teach them how to navigate life properly.

Sara shared that she gained a strong work ethic from David, while Erin learned the importance of staying away from addictive substances. She had been caught smoking at 16, and David gave her a stern but educational punishment.

Jordan and her siblings are now part of a blended family that enjoys a weekly family tradition that started after eased Covid-19 lockdown restrictions in 2020. They gather in the backyard at Erin's Los Angeles home for family Sundays to catch up, have a drink, and share a laugh.

Jordan Found Her Way into the Fashion Industry

Jordan drew her first breath on September 26, 1985, born to David and Rebecca Dyer. She has led a career in two industries as an actress and stylist. She first appeared in "Guitar Zero" and "Not My Time" in 2008 and again in the crime series "Mr. Robot," starring Rami Malek.

Jordan is also a fashion influencer, considered one of the "best-dressed stylists" on Instagram. Among some of the big names she has styled are Candice Swanepoel, Joan Smalls, and Ashley Graham. At Erin and Sara's clothing line, Favorite Daughter, she works as the Style Director.

Jordan was initially clueless about her career path. She had just gotten married in her mid-20s and was unsure what to do for work. Thankfully, through mutual friends, she found a mentor who was just starting a new brand, as she recalled:

"[...] The next thing I know, a friend of a friend had just left Vogue and was starting a fashion brand and they needed an intern. I learned so much from them. They're absolutely my mentors and we're still very close and I feel very lucky about that."

The brand was Lisa Ligne, and Jordan added that she gained much exposure by working with the said mentors. Her career was launched from then onwards, and she worked her way up to success.

Jordan Does Her Best to Stay Connected with Her Husband

Jordan married a man named Tom Woodger in 2013, and the couple now shares two children, a daughter and a son. Tom's occupation is unknown. Although he has an Instagram account, he has kept it private.

Little is known about Tom, but based on Jordan's sweet tributes on her page, he has been a loving husband and father. In June last year, she penned a touching message on Father's Day, praising how well he handled being a dad. She concluded her praises, saying:

"Our kids are amazing and it’s because they have you as an example of how to be. Parenting by your side has been the happiest existence I could imagine. Happy Father’s Day to our # 1 [king emoji] We love you."

When asked how she and Tom kept their romance alive, Jordan said they stayed "constantly connected." The couple didn't go a day without talking to each other, even if it was about small things like what they had for lunch. For Jordan, it strengthened their bond and made her feel more connected to her husband.

However, they once went through a two-year rough patch where communication wasn't as consistent, as Tom's work kept him out of town most of the time. Now while they nurture their social lives, they also prioritize their quality time, as Jordan explained:

"There are obviously times where I go out with my girlfriends or something but we eat dinner together every night. We sit and watch TV together, get coffee together in the morning, and honestly he is just my best friend."

Jordan Admitted Sometimes Feeling Left Out as a Younger Sister

Jordan's eldest sister, Sara, was born on February 5, 1981. Besides being an entrepreneur, Sara is also an actress known for "D.E.B.S" and "The Other End of the Line." Erin was born the following year, on August 23, and has the same career as her sisters. She appeared in "Waiting...2" in 2009 and "Circle" the following year.

Jordan once shared how she felt left out of Sara and Erin's relationship, whose lives were "intertwined" because of the businesses they shared. She later acknowledged that it was by her own doing, as she said:

" [...] Yes, of course, I feel left out. [...] Their lives are so intertwined, but they're not leaving me out. To be honest, it's on me 100% because I'm the one who's constantly removed myself from situations, like leaving LA and going to boarding school or moving to Switzerland and then landing in New York. All those things."

The eldest Foster sibling, Allison Jones Foster, was born sometime in 1970. She reconnected with David – who married Katharine McPhee and welcomed Rennie in February 2021 – in 2000 and now works for his self-named foundation.

The second eldest, Amy Foster, was born on July 29, 1973. She is a musician and author known for her books "When Autumn Leaves" and a trilogy titled "Rift Uprising." Amy is also a mother of three to Mikaela, Eva, and Vaughn and is married to Matt Freeman.
