On Christmas Eve, Françoise, a manicurist at the Paris-Palace-Hotel, is invited to celebrate by Henri Delormel, an attractive fifty-something man. She later meets Gérard driving a Cadillac, and passes herself off as the wealthy Delormel's daughter. For his part, the young garage employee claims to own the vehicle.

holy fuck. the gowns are insane. wow. didnt pay attention to the plot but the dresses are crazy beautiful. im currently watching all the film's that had christian dior as costume designer and this one is so far the chicest yet.
i think that sort of femininity should make a comeback. every one now is wearing goodwill stuff and ripped clothes. very sad. but not the sexy tragic way. sad in the cringe sense. 50's super chic feminine angelic couture dior gowns are tragic in sexy way.
there is a ballet scene in this film and the the dresses dior made for the ballerinas are so sexy and tragic.
i think barbiturates will make a come back like vintage drugs.…
Une sorte de conte de Noël décalé, romantique et plein d'humour. Seul le jeune premier Roberto Risso est un peu mièvre, mais il ne gâche pas tout.
