While it's arguably more interesting on a visual level, Labyrinth provides further proof of director Jim Henson's boundless imagination.

Sarah Marshall Bitch Media [David Bowie's] labyrinth, frightening as it was, was also a place where you could encounter what confused you and find out who you really were and what you were capable of. It was always worth the trip. Feb 9, 2021 Full Review Tasha Robinson AV Club While the off-kilter rock songs Bowie wrote and performed for the film are far from his best work, his character performance is gloriously iconic, a perfect blend of predatory, leering rock star and hurt, rejected emo lover. Rated: B+ Dec 20, 2019 Full Review Steven D. Greydanus Decent Films Plays like The Wizard of Oz or Alice in Wonderland crossed with a middling episode of "The Muppet Show" guest-starring David Bowie … suffers from a distinct lack of charm. Rated: C Sep 21, 2007 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy David Bowie is regal in a role for which Mick Jagger, Sting, and Michael Jackson were also considered. Brooke Labyrinth is my favorite movie and it was so exciting to see it in a theatre on the big screen with surround sound. I brought my boys and we had so much fun!! Thank you for screening it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/11/24 Full Review Gianna P Labyrinth is one of my favorite childhood films. The songs, story, and characterization are amazing as well as the sets. I want to be Sarah!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/14/24 Full Review Farah R Labyrinth came highly recommended, but I couldn't see its charm. The storyline is too simple, and many elements that made it appealing in the 80s have become outdated. Perhaps it's an acquired taste or a film that fondly lives in the memories of those who grew up with it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/12/24 Full Review Brooks N The creativity and imagination is magical even to this day. A story told out through adventure and song is refreshing. I only wish more movies could make an impression instead of rinse and repeat. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/08/24 Full Review Jeremy _ This film is so great. Such a fantastic centerpiece for 1980s 'dark fantasy' or 'dark fairy tales'. I'm sort of poleaxed for why this film has lower overall reviews than most marvel or star wars films. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/19/24 Full Review Gilbert T One of the most inventive movies ever. Worth watching. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/10/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
