Lynwood High School is a school full of diversity and inclusion. There are all types of clubs and sport teams that make everyone feel welcome and accepted. There are also counselors that are willing to attend you and help you at all times. The not so best part of Lynwood is the evacuation protocol. I would like to see Lynwood make sure that all their students are safe if they were to run away from campus in case of an emergency.
i’ve been at lynnwood since freshman year, and my sisters have also gone to lynnwood all 4 years of hs. the school spirit is definitely lacking and involvement is low, but students determined to find success will be able to find it here
My experience at Lynnwood High School has been overall okay. But the school needs more AP classes and less class sizes so the teachers can focus on individual students better.
I enjoyed going to Lynnwood; however, the student culture seemed to have died by the time my class (2022) left. There was no team spirit, no excitement for homecoming or football games, and absolute no one running for ASB. I feel the school should not just put that on the student's shoulders, but create more spaces to get excited about it. I really liked the diversity of the school. It seemed that most of our school was Latin, and therefore, many cool opportunities arose for kids of color that I don't see happen in the other Edmonds School District schools.
My experience at Lynnwood High School has been great so far! It is full of so much spirit everywhere. There are always very kind people there; it's a place where you can feel at home. I have been told that my school isn't really the best; in my opinion, I see a great school of opportunities; there are great courses offered, help in literally anything, and so much involvement! I personally am so involved in the music department, and it's run by great people; there is never discouragement there, ever. The best part about Lynnwood High School is how open it is to new ideas, to classes, and to the environment. I haven't had the worst experience, but there are some areas where I wish there was more teacher help. That's also a change I would like to see: more teacher inclusion and really seeking out those kids who need help who are afraid or won't ask for help. Lynnwood High School is not perfect, but its welcoming and spiritual feeling is enough to know that it's a place of safety.
The best experiences at lynnwood highschool is taking Chef class which made me learn so much more about sanitation and cooking in general and helped me take a leadership role. One of my fav things I got to see was when the drama class put on a play and it was sssooo good that I would go to see it again. But my worst experience was taking all of freshmen year during covid and so many things be cancelled due to covid and the homecoming themes were kinda lame so i'm not going.
In 2016, I lived in Lynnwood and moved from the Philippines. I constantly worried about whether I fit in school as I'm not used to being exposed in a diverse community and communicating in English. Not only did I join clubs and played a sport out of my comfort zone, faculty were helpful and supportive of my future goals. Despite being in lockdown during the last 2 years of my high school, the best part was graduating with my best friend and maintaining a 4.0 GPA during my last quarter in running start. If schedules were emailed out to students regarding spirit week or any other upcoming days that were different from our default time schedule would be a change I would like to see.
I attended Lynnwood High School starting junior year. It was my first experience in a large, community-driven high school. The educational opportunities provided there was really refreshing and great. The teachers(well, most) were so friendly and were passionate about what they taught. Spending my final High School years at Lynnwood High was great especially because of the hobbies I have discovered and the friends I made there.
good: Hard classes, good students/friends, friendly teachers
Bad: vandalism problem, rowdy students

My experience was alright. The people are kind. One thing I wished changed was the covid I wish it didn't happen so my experience was cut short. Overall, it isn't to bad but it also depends if you know anyone or not.
I really appreciate the diversity found within the school and the friendly environment.
However as the years go by, the lowerclassmen have began to mistreat the the tools and materials provided to the school. Which has cause some chaos.

At lynnwood highschool you can meet some helpful teachers that do talk to you like a grown up and help you efficiently. When I went here though mainly teachers and other staff members weren’t as helpful as they were promising to be. I had conflicts with some staff members and I didn’t overall trust my community. Lynnwood high does give students a visually good school and okay education however.
I like Lynnwood High School! I made a lot of friends, and I felt that I learned quite a bit. Some teachers are accessible and some are not, it all depends on your own skills to get through it.
Lynnwood high school has a great community the students and staff are really supportive, and the teachers are very lenient about late/missing work.
Lynnwood High School is a great environment for learning. There is a ton of diversity and differences in perspectives. Students are able to work with each other and create bright future for themselves. I would hope to see in the future some of the staff being more open-hearted to the students and willing to look past their own perspective to make deeper connections with them, because at the end of the day teens just want and need to be loved.
I’m an alum. The school may be more diverse and improved now, but at the time I attended it severely lacked diversity.
The school is pretty good. There is actually staff here who really do want to push you to the ends of the earth with you succeeding and having a great future. The staff is nice and our councilors really help out too. Teachers go out of their way for you by giving you help, making deadlines extended for work, and or doing something that works for you. The campus is pretty average, with not much scenery beside the inside with bridges going from one side to the other. The art gallery when heading to the art room has art stored from kids who made art in art class. Leadership even posts posters of pretty nice art based on events we eventually do have to match the theme. The school isn't open on campus but they do have a student store and Ale Cart that you can buy more snacks and drinks from if you are still hungry after school lunch. Overall the School is nice and it gets the job done most importantly.
