Our Eco-Retreat focuses on providing a luxurious platform for you to stay in all the comforts of a boutique hotel amidst the raw and natural beauty of our Canadian wilderness. Here at Glen Oro we have over 200 acres of rolling fields and forests, horseback riding, hiking trails, and an incredible starry night sky.

The space
This is a luxury accommodation in the middle of a forest, with a large wooden loft built in the centre. Inside the box is a very custom bathroom with concrete countertop and cedar shower, and on top of the box is a loft with a plush king sized bed accessed by a ladder - you will feel like you're sleeping in a cozy tower. Overhead is a huge skylight so you can see the trees leaves blow in the wind, stars wheeling overhead, clouds rushing by, or rain and snow falling - all of it is awesome! Down below you've got designer furniture unique to each Stargazer Dome and a kitchenette for whipping up some fancy camp meals!

Kitchenette - comprised of all the essentials such as: dishes, cutlery, glasses, pot, pan, skillet, tea, coffee, kettle, toaster oven, electric burner element, sink, mini fridge, and bbq outside.

Bathroom - sink (with UV filtered clean drinking water), custom cedar shower (with hot water), GTG Sun-Mar composting toilet.

Living quarters - one king sized bed with fresh linens and pillows, a couch, armchair, dining table, coffee table, dining chairs, end tables, lamps, and a slender standup rotating heater/fan. We also include two headlamps and a little flashlight lantern for you.

Firepit - there is a large communal welcome firepit near the parking area when you come in, and each glamping accommodation in our Eco-Retreat has it's own private firepit for guests.

Guest access
Your accommodation is private and your own home while staying here at the Glen Oro Eco-Retreat, however this is a working horse farm, so while on the property remember to watch out for horses and give them the right of way - while driving please stay below 20km/h. Guests are free to explore the paths and trails of Glen Oro, to go up to the paddock fences and say hi to the horses, but they are not permitted to enter any of the paddocks and they are not able to go into the barn unless they have a booked Trail Ride Experience through the Glen Oro website. Please be respectful of all other guests and staff here and understand that this is a peaceful place.

Other things to note
Fires - based around whatever the Oro-Medonte fire warning is set at for the time of your visit. All outdoor fires must be small and controlled and monitored, they must also be put out with water before being left.

Sound - after midnight there is a noise curfew, but even before that you must make sure you are respectful of other guests on the property who come to relax, as well as our neighbours in this quiet countryside region.

Reckless behaviour or damage to property - none of this will be tolerated.

If any of these rules are broken, you may be asked to leave the property with no refund given. Be respectful, be a good person, and you will have a great time here at Glen Oro.
