RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech Athletics Director Tommy McClelland announced Wednesday that volleyball coach Adriano de Souza will not return for next season.

"I want to thank Adriano for his loyalty, hard work and commitment to our volleyball student-athletes and our program for the past seven years," said McClelland. "No one here can question his work ethic or passion. We just feel it is in the best interest of the program to go another direction at this time. We wish Adriano nothing but the best moving forward."

De Souza just completed his seventh season with the Lady Techster program. LA Tech finished 6-23, 1-13 in Conference USA action. During his career in Ruston, de Souza recorded an overall mark of 55-151 with the program.

McClelland said a national search for the next Lady Techster Volleyball head coach would begin immediately.
