Höll and Bruni crush the competition in Fort William
It was the reigning Downhill World Champions, Valentina Höll and Loïc Bruni, that dominated the opening round of the 2024 UCI MTB World Cup season in Fort William, Scotland. Höll defended her title on the challenging Scottish track – the longest on the calendar – edging out German rider Nina Hoffmann and British rider Tahnée Seagrave to take victory. In the Men's Elite race, Loïc Bruni asserted his dominance, as the five-time world champion won by a commanding 1.8 seconds. Australian Troy Brosnan claimed second, while Bruni's teammate, Finn Iles, rounded off the podium in third.
