This is our go-to hotel when we stop in Bakersfield. It’s a Homewood Suites, so it’s not luxurious, but the rooms are large and have full kitchens. Our room was nice and clean on this stay except for a couple of long hairs in the bathroom. We liked the vintage photographs on the walls that showcase local history.
A plus of this location is that it’s next to the Cal State Bakersfield campus, which is a good place for a walk. It’s also close to the path along the Kern River, and the River Walk shopping center.

Centrally located in Bakersfield close to shops and move theater. Front desk was great and they were very accommodating changing my rooms closer to elevator. Room was clean and had USB chargers. All rooms have a full kitchen so that was a plus for our family. They also had a lil market where you can purchase drinks and other amenities such as chips/drinks/Mac and chips etc etc without having to leave hotel Cleaning staff was great as well.

I can't say enough good things about my stay. My room was clean, comfortable and in good condition. The bed and bedding were great, the breakfast was awesome! Plenty for me to eat on my gluten-free diet. The only glitch was my room heater. The room was chilly and the weather took a huge dip, so I turned up the thermostat, and "smoke" started coming out the vents, activating the smoke alarms in my room! I called the front desk, and they explained I was the first to use the heater in months. They sent the maintenance worker to make sure it was working properly, and housekeeping to clear the air and clean the room. When I returned, my room was warm, the heater running well, and no hint of smoke. Thank you Homewood for a quick and efficient response! I'd definitely stay here again.

I got there very early (around 11) was told they were sold out, so I could not check in since they were booked(she was very nice and apologetic). When I was able to get back at around 5pm, check in was easy and FAST, the gentleman was very friendly and helpful. I book a 2 bed suite and it was perfect. I have a service dog and the size was just right. Have not tried the pool, breakfast, or the complimentary dinner, but will try tomorrow and later this week.

What a pleasant experience!! We have made the road trip from Washington State to Arizona and back four times in the past four months, taking different routes, depending on the weather. Needless to say, we have stayed in a lot of hotels and we have to say it was a delight to stay here!! Proper COVID procedures are in place. The room was great and the bed was super comfy! We truly appreciated the location as it is not just your typical hotel right off the freeway ramp, but is located a few miles away so it was wonderfully quiet!! Well worth a couple of minute drive to enjoy some peace and quiet! There are some nice restaurant choices in the immediate area too! The absolute best part was Kristen at the front desk! She was super friendly and helpful! What a lovely asset she is for the property!

Unprofessional Female Staff Vernie, No Name Tag, Phone Off the hook,that is why we cant call from the room, wife feeling nauseated and requesting late check out. Vernie said you have to pay 50% of the day rate and will not allow even a 15 mins. When my wife said she will never come back again, she even responded, its okay. That made my wife extremely upset. Thank you Vernie for making our over all stay horrible and unappreciated!

We were visiting family who at the last minute were not able to have us stay over (water heater died in spectacular fashion and lots of remediation was needed). This Hilton brand was perfectly located for us and us immediately next to a large Kaiser Permenante facility if that's useful for others.
The facility was clean, but some work is needed. We noted that the wallpaper was delaminating in a couple of spots. The bed was rather firm although housekeeping was great with getting us extra pillows. There was a fridge, towels were fluffy and the room was quite. Breakfast was somewhat limited -- one morning it was essentially egg mcmuffins, another morning it was mini one egg omelets. Fresh fruit, parfaits and yogurt, some cereal and limited breaks were available. Stocking of items was slow but this could be because of Covid and an unwillingness to have too much out at once.

Enjoyed our stay...staff from check in to breakfast was excellent. Hotel was clean...rooms clean. Staff was very accommodating and were making sure we felt welcomed. Would highly recommend a stay at Homewood Suites in Bakersfield! We were not disappointed!

We stopped for the night at this hotel and were very pleased by our experience. The staff was very friendly and the rooms are great. There is a free dinner with wine and beer weeknights but not Friday. The food was very good as was the breakfast the next morning. We will definitely stay here again when we’re in the neighborhood.

Be warned: The woman who checked me in and out did not wear a mask, despite having a cough. She became irritated when I told her that she should be wearing one. The hotel’s policy on this site clearly states that staff are supposed to wear masks.
