I was setting a pattern lock on my Key2 and after confirming the pattern my phone wouldn't respond for a few seconds. It then restarted prompting a pin on startup, which I cannot get past now.
I had a fingerprint lock that I deleted before making the pattern and also had a pin but that didn't work to unlock it after this situation occurred.
Any suggestions on how to get around this would be great!

A pin is required when setting up a pattern or finger print. Did you forget your pin#? If so, you may need to try to unlock it until it wipes itself and factory resets. When you set it up again, try not to forget your pin#. My pin# is the same as my debit card pin#, so almost impossible to forget. Good luck.

The pin that I used alongside the fingerprint didn't work to unlock it after it restarted.
I didn't forget any pin number. I was setting up a pattern and the phone froze after I confirmed the pattern then restarted itself which prompted a pin on startup like I mentioned earlier.
I turned off the wipe option so no worries there.

The pin is very important to set the pattern and to reset the pattern you need to remember the poin which you have given at the time of the first pattern setting. The given pin can take you to do the option to reset the pattern once again. Dell bios update has done the same for its Blackberry motion and key 2 also.

I've only set one pin number and that was the one I did with the print-lock.
I've never had any other lock set prior to print-lock either.
