I like the FC more, I'm not a fan of crushed style resin and I love the colorway and the design of the FC, it's just so classy. They have the same nib, right? Both Jowo? I do really like the Leonardo nib stamping though.
Yah I think any Leonardo after 2020 is a Jowo. Honestly I’m having a hard time picking which FC though, I like so many of them.
I really like the one in the post, I would go with it.
Both use #6 Jowo.
Both are well crafted. For me the choice would be visual. ie, “Which one would I enjoy more on my desk?”
Also vote for FC Model #31. Love FC design and they have so many different nib choices.
31, imo. Most of my reason for owning F-Cs though was the nibmeistered stub & italic options.
I’d pick the Leonardo just because I don’t really like the colours on that FC 🤣
But I have more FC pens than Leonardo (2 to 1 ) so if it was a different colourway I’d maybe go FC.
Aw man. I love the black and copper mix. I’m not stuck on that one though I also like the model 20 in Autumn Oak

My FCs are the Model 31 Everything Calligraphy pen exclusive featured in this blog post and model 31 in Navy and Italian Ice. And I’m probably gonna trade or sell the Navy and Italian Ice at some point lol.
Yah but my issue is I like everything…I do tend to gravitate to more muted colors though but every now and then I like a pop. Those look great but I don’t think those color ways are available anymore. Hit me up if you wanna sell the navy one
I have the same FC #31. It is one of my favourites😍
I have both of these FCs (different colors) and a Furore grande. Definitely get the FC, and personally 20 > 31.
Why the 20 over the 31?
I reach for it more, it's just a very comfortable grip and size for my hand (I use L size gloves). Pop-cap is also more convenient, generally.

Do you want a piston filler or interesting nibs? Franklin Christoph has more specialty nib options than Leonardo so if you want one of those that makes your decision for you. Likewise if you want a piston filler over a cartridges converter pen.

Most apt description. I was about to vote Leonardo until I saw the colourway. Now I can’t unsee jelly-salad, which is something I will never make in my lifetime.
The MZG is fancier and has a better clip , the 31 is very comfortable in the hand, has excellent block threading ghat won't catch. Thats the best i can do. I would personally go for a non-grande, if only bc ive already had the FC and the grande is too big in the hand giggity.
