Gallavich is the slash ship between Ian Gallagher and Mickey Milkovich from the Shameless fandom.
Canon[]
Season 1[]
Ian is accused of assaulting Mandy Milkovich, Mickey's sister. Mickey comes into Kash and grab, the store in which Ian works, to attack Ian. Ian makes a plan to take out Mickey, but he instead catches Mandy on her way out of the house and tells her that he's gay. Mandy tells Ian she's going to call off Mickey and her other brothers.
Mickey starts shoplifting from the store, and Linda (Ian's boss) issues a gun to be placed behind the counter to be used to deter future shoplifters. Mickey ends up stealing the gun from the counter, and Ian goes to try to get it back, but is unsuccessful in finding it. He comes back later and he finds Mickey sleeping. Mickey attacks Ian and after a bit of fighting, they end up having sex. Mickey’s father, Terry, later walks in on them lying in bed together. He doesn’t understand what they’ve been doing, and instead just tells them to get dressed, since they "look like a couple of fags".
Mickey and Ian start casually hooking up in the cool room of Kash and Grab. During one of these times, Kash see's them having sex, and is upset as he and Ian had been hooking up. Kash ends up shooting Mickey with the gun that Ian had retrieved, due to Mickey's continued theft from the store. Mickey gets periodically sent to juvy.
Season 2[]
When Mickey is released from juvenile detention, he and Ian resume their relationship. Mickey starts working security at the Kash and Grab. Frank catches the boys having sex in the cooler, and Mickey, fearing that his father would kill him should Frank reveal what he had seen, resolves to kill Frank. After stalking him for several days, Mickey can't go through with killing Frank and assaults a police officer instead, violating his parole and returning him to juvenile detention.
Season 3[]
Ian begins to get jealous that Mickey sleeps with girls. In the following episodes Ian starts dating an older man. In the episode May I Trim Your Hedges? Mickey is jealous of Ian and beats Ian's date. In The Sins of My Caretaker Ian is getting ready for military school and Mickey helps him. Mickey asks what Ian sees in the old man. Ian replies: "He buys me stuff, orders me room service. Isn't afraid to kiss me." In the same episode Mickey kisses Ian for the first time before robbing a house.
In Cascading Failures Mickey invites Ian to sleep over. In the morning, Mickey's dad, Terry Milkovich, walks in on the two having sex in Mickey’s living room. Terry beats them up and calls a prostitute who'll ”fuck Mickey's gayness out of him” and forces Ian to watch. Ian hears that Mickey is getting married to said prostitute, as she had fallen pregnant. When Ian goes to talk to him about the wedding, Mickey doesn't say anything at first. Then Ian provokes him into a fight by telling him that he is gay and that he loves him. Ian comes to Mickey before his wedding, and they have sex after Ian asks what with the wedding Mickey says that for him it is just piece of paper and that, "Not everybody just gets to blurt out how they fucking feel every minute." Ian gets drunk at the wedding reception, because he is in love with Mickey and can’t stand to see him get married to somebody else. In the season finale, Ian goes to see Mandy, and whilst at the Milkovich's household he tells Mickey that he's signing up to army.
Season 4[]
When Mickey heard that Ian has trouble, he started looking for him. In the seventh episode, Mickey found where Ian worked and tried to convince him to call his family. Ian dispels him with texts that he speaks to clients. Mickey waited until Ian’s shift at work was over and he sees Ian stoned and lying in snow.
In the episode Emily Ian questions Mickey on if they are a couple, to which Mickey agrees but Ian still isn't convinced. svetlana makes Mickey go to the baptization of their son, yevgeny. Ian shows up to the baptization and watches from the crowd, he also shows up too the after party where terry shows up after being released from jail due too violation of his probation. Ian informs Mickey that their relationship is over because he doesn't want to be a mistress. Mickey, not wanting too lose Ian comes out too the bar and his father gets angry and beats him. Ian punches terry and tries to get him off Mickey but some other old guy hits him with a bar chair, then everyone gets into a fight. terry is sent back too jail 4 hours after getting out and Mickey and Ian go home.
in the morning, Ian refuses to get out of bed which at first Mickey saw as him just being lazy, but he gets more and more worried as the day goes by. he later calls over Debbie and carl and they think he may have what Monica had, bipolar disorder. Mickey refuses the idea of sending Ian to the psych ward or going to a clinic as he didn't understand that his low would happen again.
Season 5[]
Ian and Mickey are officially dating, but due to a side effect of Bipolar Disorder (Hypersexuality) Ian keeps cheating on Mickey over and over. A person delivers missing baggage to Mickey, thinking he was a different person. Seeing this, Ian started going to the airport picking up lost baggage and bringing it home to the point the Milkovich home was full of clothes and other miscellaneous items, prompting Mickey to be worried about Ian. Mickey goes to Ian's workplace as he didn't come home, he finds out from an employee that Ian was brought back to a hotel by an old man and beats the employee who told Mickey, angry that he came out for Ian just too be cheated on by him.
Ian comes home in the morning and admits too filming a sex tape, this angers Mickey as his behavior has already been making him worry. He tells Ian to pack his things and he's going to take him to a hospital to get help as he's sick, he pins Ian against a wall so he wouldn't leave and gets him too agree to going to a hospital for help, Ian tells Mickey he's going to shower and grab his things but while Mickey is in his room he steals Yevgeny and leaves the Milkovich house speeding away with Mickeys car.
Debbie, Carl, Lip and Mickey go to the police station after the police caught Ian as he left Yevgeny in the car while he went with an old man. He screamed that Jesus was trying to take Yevgeny and that they were Gabriel's demons, eventually being backed into a corner of a supermarket with Yevgeny and being taken back to Chicago. They all agree Ian should be put for a 72 hour hold in a Psych Ward and Ian signs up for it.
Mickey and Fiona go and visit Ian in the Psych Ward, he's heavily sedated and didn't talk too them, saying that he was tired and left without saying anything to either Mickey or Fiona. This makes Mickey upset and he leaves Fiona there. After Ian got out of the Psych ward they didn't talk, Mickey was angry and upset at Ian and Ian thought it was over because Mickey couldn't handle Ian's Bipolar Disorder. Debbie talks some sense into Mickey while trying to look for more Lithium for Ian as he "Flushed" it all down the toilet (He took them all.) She explains how Frank and Monica would fight and Frank would always go back. This prompted Mickey to go to the Gallagher household and cuddle with Ian.
After Ian thought the Military was outside the house and almost hit Debbie with a baseball bat, Mickey takes Ian to the clinic to get a re-fill on Lithium among other pills so he didn't have the side effects of Bipolar Disorder as harshly as he did. Mickey and Ian go to the Ballpark and Ian tries to shotgun a beer but Mickey tells Ian that he can't drink beer on Lithium, Ian gets upset and wants the old South Side Mickey and they beat each other until they roll off coughing. They eventually shot gun two beers and have Sex. Later that night Ian and Mickey realize that they've never gone on a date so they go inside so Mickey can get a new shirt, but Sammi called the Military Police on Ian, due to being angry that Carl got Chuckie sent to jail. Ian eventually gets out with Monica and Ian stays with her for a little before going back and breaking up with Mickey as he didn't want to take his pills and he didn't want to burden Mickey with his Bipolar Disorder.
Season 6[]
Mickey got arrested for attempted murder of Sammi and Svetlana wants Ian to come with her to visit him in jail. Ian refuses but she offers to pay him so he agrees. Once Svetlana is done talking to Mickey he gets to talk to Ian. When Mickey says he's glad that Ian came back, Ian tells him that Svetlana paid him. Mickey keeps talking though, he tells Ian that he got a new tattoo, and that he did it himself; he shows a tattoo on his chest that reads 'Ian Galager' (Ian Gallagher misspelled). Ian replies by telling Mickey that it looks infected, and that Gallagher is spelled with two L's. Mickey says "No, it's fucking not." and they laugh about it together for a bit before Mickey says that he's been thinking about Ian. Then he asks Ian if he ever thinks about him and whether he'll wait for him, Ian reminds Mickey that he's in prison for 15 years but Mickey replies that it'll be 8 with overcrowding. Mickey asks him again whether he'll wait for him, and when Ian doesn't reply Mickey say "Fucking lie if you have to, man. 8 years is a long time." so Ian says that he will wait, then leaves.

Gallavich is the most popular ship in the Shameless fandom. It has a large following on tumblr, and tends to be the focus of the online fandom. On AO3, Gallavich is the most written ship for both Mickey and Ian. It is also the most written ship in the Shameless (US) and Shameless (US) RPF tags.
