Try everything once. Last night I travelled out of the Viennese city centre to experience classical music in the Palace Oranjerie. It was the first time I have seen classical music played by a live orchestra before me, and it was truly awe inspiring. My soul was stirred and right at the end brought to its climax with a beautiful performance of Blue Danube. My mum used to watch a 1937 cartoon of Blue Danube, which she bought on VHS when we got our first Ferguson Videostar back in like 1987. We used to watch that cartoon together, and thus Blue Danube is my favourite piece of classical music. When the music played, and the instruments began their waltzing dance, I was taken back to being a child. I am not ashamed to say that I cried in the middle of the auditorium. Quietly, with dignity, and not disturbing the other patrons. But cried nonetheless 😭😭😭 If you have never seen an orchestra play live before, go and do it… and like wot I did, put your phone away and record the music and the musicians with your memory.

Beware of the package deals they offer!! The dinner- concert package charges an excessive price for mediocre dinner. To our surprise, we were treated as second class clients, probably cause we had prepaid for dinner. Others could eat outside; we could not. 2 euro for a six ounce glass of tap water. Luke-warm soup, cold apple strudel. The potato side dish was good. Better to walk in to the sane restaurant and order a la carte. You can choose your own items, pay less and be treated properly.

The concert was great but the food was just ok, and the self-guided tour honestly wasn’t as good of an experience as a guided one would be in my opinion.

I had the most amazing tour guide. She was knowledgeable, personable and fun. I loved her!!! She received a big gratuity, she was totally worth it!

I enjoy it with my sister, we had a great time listening to the concert and have an awesome experience we will come back again

Excellant musicians. Finely turned performance. I 'd go back again soon. Choice of music outstanding. Second half was exceptional and fun.

We booked well in advance and got there in good time to take our seats. We sat right at the back which was absolutely fine. The first half was 45 minutes then a small interlude to have a drink, followed by another 45 minutes. We were treated to some fabulous music including a bit of opera as well. So whilst in Vienna you need to hear some classical music and the Orangery at the palace was perfect!

The Orchestra was very joyful both in the musical performance and the fun interaction with the audience. The brief tour in the palace with audioguide in about an hour was nice however I would have preferred a real tour guide who has knowledge about the palace, still more to see in the palace and no visit to the gardens at all, so the palace tour is a brief tour not the full experience. The Dinner was in a nice cosy restaurant.

The publicity suggested that we would be hearing the orchestra. The fact that it would be only an ensemble was in small print and easily missed. We were disappointed with the standard of performance with the new exception of the soprano who was excellent

Took my mother to the Schönbrunn Palace for an after hours tour and the concert afterwards at the Orangerie for her Mother’s Day gift. She loved the history and the difference in atmosphere at the palace at night, as well as the tranquility. The concert was fantastic! Exactly what we expected and more! Heartily recommend.

Touristy kind of magic - yes, is in a side hall of the palace, with no fixed places - but zones related seats. The set is a pout-pourri of classic operas excerpts and known arias. Prices of the bar during intermission are fair, but not much options to eart. Illumination and quality of the music is very good. 2nd half will transport you in a world of Waltz and Polkas. Very much recommended. You dont need to book the whole dinner exoerience to have a little magic. Staff there really friendly, clean restrooms. Definitely I will come again and bring my family.

Very inspiring concert in the beautiful setting of the Orangery Schönbrunn, a MUST when visiting Vienna! Absolutely lovely Viennese Music!

Beautiful space. Entertaining. Great musicians who bring life to the music. Smoothly run, with a lovely use of light and glass chandeliers.

Great evening. 8 piece ensemble and 2 soloists. Would have liked to sit nearer the front for a better view but out of our price range. Lovely atmosphere in the orangery.

I had doubts but…..A lovely evening. We were fortunate to sit in the front. The concert is acoustic ( as it was in Mozarts day) and may have been less enjoyable towards the rear of a long room. Dinner was pleasant. ( Concert and dinner ticket) Austrian. Boiled beef😀 but none the worse for that. Highly recommend. Most enjoyable evening
